Zhang Zhi used one of Bixing's best poems, and Li Shidao was moved after reading it and gave up his co-optation for Zhang Yuan

author:A collection of poems and songs

After the Middle Tang Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty gradually fell into a state of division of feudal towns, and Li Shidao, as one of the "great warlords", was also given the titles of Inspector Sikong and Tongzhongshu Menxia Pingzhangshi, which was extremely powerful.

Li Shidao and other envoys of the Great Domain often used various means to collude with the literati and central officials, and Zhang Zhi was one of the talents that Li Shidao favored. After receiving Li Shidao's overtures, Zhang Zhi considered it for a moment and did not want to join the command of this great warlord, but he did not want to offend him on the surface, so he wrote a poem as a reply to Li Shidao's "warm invitation", which is the following famous poem "Jie nü Yin Send Dongping Li Sikong Shi Dao".

At first glance, perhaps this is just a poem expressing the feelings of men and women, but if we combine the background of the writing of this poem, we will find that under the cloak of romance, there is a political lyric poem in the bones, and the so-called "Festival Woman's Yin" in the title is only a symbolic method used by Ming Zhi.

Jie Nu Yin sent Dong ping Li Sikong Shi Dao

Don Zhang

Junzhi concubines have husbands, and give concubines double pearls.

The sense of the king is lingering, tied in a red robe.

The concubines' high-rise buildings are even raised, and the good people hold the Mingguang Li.

Zhijun's heart is like the sun and the moon, and the husband vows to live and die together.

Jun Mingzhu wept bitterly, hating not meeting and not marrying.

Note: "Hate no" is a "why not".

The first two sentences say, "The king knows that the concubine has a husband, and gives the concubine a double pearl", and the opening chapter here is different, the poet says, you know that I am a wife with a husband, but you still give me a pair of pearls, so it can be seen that this pearl giver is not a good gentleman who abides by the law of etiquette. The "jun" here is naturally Li Shidao, and the "concubine" is the author, and the double pearl given by the author should be the benefit promised to the author. In fact, these two sentences already contain the meaning of blame.

According to the usual thinking, at this time, the author should strongly condemn this "jun" who does not abide by the law, but here it is not, but it is "feeling that the king is entangled and tied to the red robe", and it seems that he is about to accept the precious gift of this "jun". In fact, these two sentences can be understood in two ways, the first is that the poet is really grateful to Li Shidao for seeing his talent, so he is grateful, and will take out the "double pearl" given out and wear it; the second is that the poet is under pressure and does not want to offend a big warlord like Li Shidao, so he takes the advance as a retreat and expresses his "gratitude".

Just when everyone thought that the poet was going to give in, he then turned around and said, "The concubines are high-rise and the garden is rising, and the good people are holding the bright light", and their own family, rich and noble, there are countless good people guarding the palace. Here, the poet is only euphemistically expressing the fact that he already "belongs to the body", that he has already served in the central government of the Tang Dynasty, and that he is a position with a sense of belonging, so there is no way to go elsewhere.

Then again to advance and retreat, "Zhijun's heart is like the sun and the moon, and the husband vows to live and die together", I know that you love me as indispensable as the sun and the moon, but since I already have a husband, I swear to live and die with him, and I will not betray the other party in this life. The first sentence of this sentence is comforting, the next sentence is clear, and there is no room for maneuver.

Therefore, it also leads to the last two sentences, "Return the Junzhu Pearl with tears, hate not to meet when you are not married", I still return the treasure you gave me to you, if you want to blame only the heavens for making people, let me not meet you before getting married. In fact, this is exactly what the poet said in rejecting Master Li's way, just as a woman strictly observes discipline, and since she is already a woman, she will no longer be entangled with others.

This poem, written in waves and twists, is delicate and incomparable, and it makes people feel reasonable to read, with the flavor of folk songs, and has the twists and turns of poetry, although the language is shallow, the meaning is deep. This is the poet implicitly expressing his own political views, only wanting to "end from one end" and not willing to switch to others halfway through. Of course, in addition to the hidden deep meaning, the artistic success of this poem is also the reason why it has been able to pass on through the ages. It is said that even Li Shidao himself was greatly touched by such earnest words, so he no longer forced himself to open his books.
