Hu Ze, a famous minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, was also the first person to contact Longjing, twice served as the governor of Hangzhou, and benefited the people with huizheng, and his contribution to Longjing was indispensable. In 1039, Hu Ze died and was buried in Laolongjing, where Fan Zhongyan, then the governor of Yuezhou, wrote an epitaph and an altarpiece. According to legend, at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, when Fang La rebelled, Hu Ze once appeared to assist the officials and troops, and the imperial court made him the Marquis of Xianying and built the Hu Gong Temple next to his tomb. The exuberance of Longjing tea should be related to the Qianlong Emperor Qianlong's four visits to Longjing, and qianlong's third southern tour in the twenty-seventh year (1762 AD) came to Longjing, and after tasting the Longjing tea cooked in Longjing spring water, he gladly wrote a poem called "Cooking Tea on the Dragon Well". After a lapse of 3 years, Qianlong was still unfinished, that is, during the fourth southern tour, he came to Longjing again, drank fragrant tea again, and once again left his poem "Revisiting Longjing". In addition, after qianlong drank the Longjing tea in front of the Hugong Temple of Longjing Lion Peak, he praised its mellow taste and sealed the eighteen tea trees in front of the temple as "imperial tea". This site still exists today and is a famous tourist attraction today.
