On September 29, on the occasion of the eighth national martyrs' memorial day and national day, more than 300 representatives from all walks of life, including party members and leading cadres, garrison troops, and student representatives, represented the people of the whole county, with great reverence, deeply remembered the martyrs who died heroically, and expressed their faith and determination to inherit the martyrs' legacy, carry forward the spirit of the martyrs, and build a new socialist modernization of unity, prosperity, civilization, harmony and beauty.
More than 150 martyrs in the county sacrificed their precious lives for the cause of national independence and the people's liberation, leaving a glorious picture in the history of the Chinese revolution and the history of Diebu. With the spirit of undaunted sacrifice, they composed a song of heroic praise that can be sung and wept, and created an immortal historical monument.
At 11:00 a.m., amid the solemn sound of the national anthem, the public sacrifice officially began.
Li Lin, a member of the county government party group and a candidate for deputy county governor of the government, presided over the event.
Comrade Zhao Jiangbo, member of the Standing Committee of the county party committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, read out the memorial text on behalf of the county party committee and the county government.
Jiao Weizhong, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Prefecture People's Congress and secretary of the county party committee, and other leaders of the four major groups came forward to sort out ribbons for flower baskets.
All the personnel bowed three times and then visited the Martyrs' Monument.
At present, the whole county is at a critical juncture of riding on the momentum and starting a new journey of modernization; we must learn from the noble feelings of the revolutionary martyrs for unlimited loyalty to the party, the motherland, and the people, always put the interests of the motherland and the people in the first place, and wholeheartedly seek the well-being of the people; learn from their fearless spirit of sacrifice, always maintain the spirit of forging ahead, dare to bear hardships, have the courage to take responsibility, and be practitioners of reform and innovation; learn from their dedication spirit of bowing down to exhaustion and dying, and always maintain the purity of the party.
