"Wang Wenjun" and the president of a research institute, "Zhang Yuerong", lured Wang Wenwu into buying various health care products and drugs totaling 105,000 yuan by climbing relatives and boasting about the efficacy of drugs.

According to the clues of the investigation, the Jingkou Public Security Sub-bureau has repeatedly held case discussion and judgment meetings, drawn up a structural map of the criminal company, and formulated a centralized arrest plan. After investigation, the criminal gang contacted the victims by making telephone calls and placing television advertisements for the purpose of illegal occupation, pretended to be "distant relatives", "health center staff", "research institute presidents, experts", etc. in accordance with the pre-made words, won the trust of middle-aged and elderly people in the name of giving away health books, book review machines, and gifts, defrauded the middle-aged and elderly people of their personal information and illness, and then distributed the details of the elderly to the sales team. The sales team then pretended to be the "president of the research institute" and other false identities according to the pre-made words, exaggerated the efficacy of food and drugs, and finally sold cheap food and drugs at a price nearly 100 times higher than the cost price.

The gang marketed more than 30 health care varieties, and they exaggerated their efficacy and tricked the victims into buying them at high prices. For example, the so-called "Chinese medicine perilla oil", which is purchased for less than 20 yuan per box, is sold for 2,000 yuan.

"Most of the products promoted by the gang have been identified as 'three no products' whose identification labels do not meet the regulations. In order to obtain high profits, the products sold by the gang mostly range from a few yuan to dozens of yuan, and most of the prices sold range from 1,000 yuan to 2,000 yuan. Luo Jinjun, deputy director of the Zhengdong Road police station, introduced. Between October 2020 and March 2021, the gang was involved in an amount of more than 3 million yuan.

The gang members are of low cultural attainment and have almost no medical background. In the face of different patients' various diseases, they can answer like "experts".
