Jessica Drew isn't the only Spider-Woman in Marvel Comics, though; at least four others have used that identity. Julia Carpenter and Mattie Franklin served as Spider-Woman in the 1980s and 1990s, respectively. And as we mentioned earlier, in some parallel universes, Gwen Stacy became Gwen the Spider, but she also used the Spider-Woman identity. Finally, peter parker and Mary Jane's daughter in another parallel universe, originally code-named Spider-Girl, changed to Spider-Girl after her father's death. Originally known as Spider-Woman, she became Spider-Woman after her father's death.
