The biggest unjust case in the history of the Southern Song Dynasty was undoubtedly the collusion of Emperor Gaozong of song to kill the anti-Jin hero Yue Fei by colluding with the traitorous minister Qin Ju.
There have always been people throughout the ages who believed that the most important reason why Song Gaozong killed Yue Fei was that Yue Fei wanted to return the Second Saint, offended Song Gaozong, and had to kill him.
Since Emperor Gaozong of Song killed Yue Fei because Yue Fei wanted to return the Second Sage, then we might as well open a brain hole and suppose: If Yue Fei really welcomed back the Second Emperor Hui Qin, what would Emperor Gaozong of Song do with them?

Wen Zhengming, a great writer of the Ming Dynasty, has a poem "ManJiang Hong", which is uneven for Yue Fei to be killed, among which there are clouds: "Do not read, seal the frontier; do not read, Hui Qin is humiliated, read Hui Qin has returned, what is this body." ”
What does that mean? Wen Zhengming believed that Emperor Gaozong of Song did not agree with Yue Fei's return of the Second Saint because if he welcomed the Second Saint back, Zhao Zhuo would be in a very awkward position.
Song Huizong's problem was relatively easy to solve, at the time of the Jing Kang change, he had already forcibly given the throne to Song Qinzong, his identity was already too high emperor, so if Song Huizong could really return to Jiangnan, continue to be his emperor, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan, write and paint in his spare time, it would not lose a beautiful thing.
At this time, the relationship between Emperor Huizong of Song and Emperor Gaozong of Song was somewhat similar to that of Li Longji of Tang Xuanzong and Li Heng of Tang Suzong.
Li Heng forcibly succeeded to the throne himself and was recognized by the people of the world, and after Tang Xuanzong returned to Chang'an from Chengdu, it was impossible for him to return to the throne. But even so, Tang Suzong was still a hundred uneasy about his father who had no real power, coupled with empress Zhang's vitriol and meanness, and the grand eunuch Li Fuguo's nonsense, and finally killed Tang Xuanzong.
If Emperor Huizong of Song went south, out of the flesh and blood love of father and son, Even if Song Gaozong was reluctant in his heart, he would offer his father as a god, but in terms of rights, Song Gaozong would strictly guard against Emperor Huizong of Song. Emperor Huizong of Song was a wise man, and he should also understand this, and honestly being a taishang emperor was enough to raise his life.
However, Song Qinzong was a hot potato, and whether Song Gaozong could pick it up or not was a huge trouble.
After Song Qinzong was captured, Song Gaozong was also able to use the surplus value of this unfortunate big brother politically, calling him "Yuansheng", and crying twice to the north when he was fine. However, Song Gaozong was reluctant to take this big brother back from the bottom of his heart, because he could not handle the relationship between the two.
For example, after Song Jin negotiated peace, Song Gaozong welcomed his birth mother Wei Shi back from the north, but he did not want the eldest brother Song Qinzong Zhao Huan.
For Emperor Gaozong of Song, the biggest trouble was the identity of Emperor Qinzong of Song, which was not a vain emperor, but a real emperor. It is precisely because Song Qinzong was captured by the Jin army as emperor and the Song Dynasty had no master, and Zhao Zhao's claim to be emperor had legitimacy. Legally speaking, once Song Qinzong returned, he was the true emperor of the Great Song, and Song Gaozong, the temporary emperor, should be laid off.
Even if he took ten thousand steps back, Song Qinzong did not become emperor, he was also the eldest son of Song Huizong, and he had long been crown prince, and Song Huizong did not designate Zhao Huan as emperor, nor did he abolish Zhao Huan's title as crown prince, and The legitimacy of Zhao Huan as emperor was still greater than that of Zhao Huan.
Of course, Song Qinzong was not a fool, if he returned to Jiangnan, it was the Ninth Brother who rewarded him with a mouthful of rice to eat, and he did not dare to have the idea of seizing the throne. Even if there were, the famous anti-Jin generals of the Southern Song Dynasty may not be as "stupid" as Yue Fei, these people have long recognized the throne of Emperor Gaozong of Song, the name of the monarch has been determined, and after Song Qinzong returns, they will go to the docks of the "abolished emperor", which is not half of the benefit to them.
However, from the perspective of Emperor Gaozong of Song, even if Emperor Qinzong of Song was willing to live in the palace and not ask about political affairs, it was still a huge political hidden danger. Song Qinzong really wants to come back, what good is it to seal him? Of course, it is okay to be crowned king, but in any case, Song Qinzong is the previous emperor, and it is more appropriate to be honored as the upper emperor.
But if this is really the case, it is equivalent to letting Song Qinzong's political status surpass that of Emperor Zhao Shuo, and once Song Gaozong is not in good health, or someone forcibly carries the emperor out, how will he deal with it?
What's more, Zhao Xu, the only son of Emperor Gaozong of Song, was scared to death in the change of Miao Liu that year, and he tossed and turned for many years without a son, how could Song Gaozong not be worried?
There are not no such examples in history, such as once in the Ming Dynasty.
In the fourteenth year of the Ming Dynasty (1449), Emperor Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen led an army of 500,000 people to personally conquer the wattles, but as a result, the entire army was destroyed at Tumu Fort, and he himself was taken prisoner. The Ming dynasty courtiers supported Emperor Yingzong's brother Zhu Qiyu (朱祁钰) the Prince of Qi as emperor, the Ming Jing Emperor, and repelled the Wa thorn army. Wa Thorn felt that Ming Yingzong had no use value, so he sent him back to the Ming Dynasty.
Regarding the greeting of Ming Yingzong, Emperor Ming Jing was ten thousand reluctant in his heart. From the perspective of Emperor Mingjing, he had a hard time replacing the throne he had earned, and once Emperor Yingzong returned, his legitimacy would be challenged, after all, Emperor Mingyingzong was a righteous crown prince before he became emperor, and Emperor Mingjing was also a substitute no matter how strong his ability was.
Finally, under the pressure of his courtiers, Emperor Mingjing reluctantly took back Emperor Mingyingzong and placed him under house arrest in Nanyuan for 7 years. However, there is a word called "raising tigers for trouble", Ming Yingzong eventually turned over the salted fish and regained the throne, and Emperor Ming Jing was deposed, and soon died of desolation, not even qualified to enter the imperial tomb.
Although the Ming Dynasty was after the Song Dynasty, human nature was the same, and the worries of emperor Ming Jingdi were the worries of Emperor Gaozong of Song.
If Emperor Gaozong of Song took Back Emperor Qinzong of Song and died before Emperor Qinzong himself, there was a good chance that the throne would return to the hands of his eldest brother. At that time, the stinky things he did before his death, such as killing Yue Fei and declaring himself a vassal to Jin, could be liquidated. There is even an extreme situation: after The restoration of Emperor Qinzong of Song, it is possible to depose Emperor Gaozong of Song and call him "King of Zhao".
In 1161, after the Battle of Quarry, King Ge of Liaoyang, Jin, was crowned emperor on the occasion of the Jin Dynasty Emperor Yan Liang's southern expedition, and Yan Liang died on the front line. After Yan Yong ascended the throne, he demoted Yan Liang to the title of King of Hailing, and later simply demoted to Shuren. When Emperor Gaozong of Song learned of this news, he would have been glad that he had not been soft-hearted at that time.
In the final analysis, politics is cruel, people's hearts are also realistic, and who will be happy to let people spit out the fat meat in their mouths?
Yue Fei was clever, and because he didn't see this clearly, he ended up with a tragic death.
