On April 5, 1931, at the Houjia Compound Execution Ground on Weiba Road, Jinan, Shandong Province, a young shui ethnic group born in Guizhou was shackled and sang the "International Song" calmly and righteously, along with more than 20 other Communist Party members.

The young man's name was Deng Enming. In July 1921, Deng Enming went to Shanghai to attend the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and participated in the founding of the Communist Party of China. At the congress, at the age of 20, he was the only minority representative.

Deng Enming was born in 1901 to a water family in Shuipu Village, Yuping Town, Libo County, Guizhou Province. Having received a new type of education, he resolutely bid farewell to his hometown when he was a teenager to seek the truth of saving the country. In 1918, with the financial support of relatives in Shandong, he was admitted to the Jinan Provincial No. 1 Middle School, read progressive publications, and began to contact and understand Marxist thought.

After the outbreak of the May Fourth Movement, Deng Enming was elected as the leader of the Student Self-Government Association and the director of the Publishing Department, edited the school newspaper, and organized students to participate in the strike movement. During the student movement, he and Wang Gemei, the student leader of the Jinan Provincial First Normal School, saw each other as before and became revolutionary comrades-in-arms.

In February 1925, Deng Enming and Wang Gemei took advantage of the infighting in the upper echelons of the Jiaoji Railway Bureau to launch a factory-wide strike among the workers of the Jiaoji Railway and the Sifang Locomotive Factory. Before and after the May Thirtieth Movement, he organized and led a workers' movement dominated by the Qingdao Nissho Textile Mill Workers' League strike, which lasted more than 3 months and became the precursor of the May Thirtieth Movement.

In November 1925, the Shandong local committee organ was destroyed by the enemy, and he was arrested and imprisoned and brutally tortured. Later, because he contracted tuberculosis in prison, he was rescued by the party organization and was released on medical parole.

During his participation in the revolutionary struggle, Deng Enming's parents and other relatives dissuaded him in the name of dingqin, and he replied in his family letter that "the child's proposition is established and will never be changed", and the revolutionary will has never wavered.

After the defeat of the Great Revolution, Deng Enming traveled all over Shandong and continued to lead the party organizations to carry out struggles. On January 19, 1929, he returned to Jinan from the Zibo mining area, where he was arrested and imprisoned again for betrayal by traitors. In the face of torture, he did not waver, and in prison he also led two hunger strikes and organized two escape struggles, so that some comrades could escape from danger. In 1930, Deng Enming wrote his posthumous work "Farewell" in prison:

Thirty years turned in an instant, and the ambition was not rewarded;

I did not hesitate to die first, and then I frequently comforted the Nine Springs.

In the former residence exhibition hall of Deng Enming in the north of Libo County, a total of more than 600 pictures and materials, more than 170 cultural relics (sets), and 11 scene landscapes are exhibited, which completely shows the deeds of Deng Enming's life. Whenever visitors go to the third exhibition hall to see his "Tips" poem, they will stop, and some will shed tears when they hear the explanation.

"Although audio image guides are installed, we still hire part-time interpreters from the old, middle school and youth, and require full-time interpreters to explain no less than 90 times a month." Qin Yuanjian, director of the Deng Enming Former Residence Management Institute, said that Deng Enming's life was a life of "pursuing the truth and dedicating himself to the revolution" and inspired everyone who visited.

Today, Deng Enming's hometown of Shuipu Village has bid farewell to poverty, relying on the advantages of red tourism and world natural heritage in Libo County, and embarked on a rural tourism development path that is livable and suitable for work and travel.

Deng Enming's niece and granddaughter, Deng Qingmei, the mayor of Limingguan Shui Nationality Township in Libo County, said that in every post she has worked, she has always kept in mind the family motto of "being a clean and innocent person and doing things in a down-to-earth manner" and contributed her strength to "inheriting red genes and building a green homeland".
