Kangxi's method of overthrowing Aobai was not very glorious, but in the writings of later generations, Kangxi was highly praised for this matter.
At that time, Ao bai's power was relatively large, and Kangxi followed Ao Bai everywhere but behind his back, he let Wei Xiaobao train eunuchs to catch Ao Bai. As the "first Batulu" of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, Aobai was very good at kung fu, and Kangxi did not dare to fight with Aobai. Therefore, after Wei Xiaobao had prepared the rope array, he summoned Ao Bai into the palace with the Holy Will to "reminisce" at this time, and he was unprepared.
When Ao Bai was about to enter the gate of the Qianqing Palace, he beckoned the guards hiding behind the door to come out with his father-in-law and trip up Ao Bai. It didn't take long for Ao Bai to break free of the rope array and defeat all the people that Kangxi was preparing, and ran directly to Kangxi at this time, shouting Wei Xiaobao's name while retreating in fright.
Wei Xiaobao did not flinch, but got up and tangled with Ao Bai. When Aobai's strength ran out, Kangxi once again trapped Aobai with a rope array, and this time Aobai had no strength to resist.
At this time, Kangxi took out his long-drawn holy will and began to announce the crime of Ao Bai, rather than announcing the crime of Ao Bai at the beginning. Kangxi, who had finished announcing, took advantage of the fact that Ao bai had not yet recovered, drew his sword and stabbed Ao Bai and announced that Ao Bai was sentenced to be beheaded when Ao Bai fell.
Ao bai can be said to be loyal to the Qing Dynasty, he has never had two hearts for this dynasty, and he fought desperately when fighting wars; when governing the government, he was not afraid of offending others and was bent on governing the world of the Qing Dynasty. The only drawback of such a bai was that he felt that he had contributed to the Qing Dynasty and would often offend Kangxi and other ministers. For Ao Bai's style, the empress dowager Xiaozhuang at that time only advised Ao Bai to do things in a low-key manner.
When Kangxi announced his worship to the outside world, he only said that his various crimes did not mention his exploits. It can be seen that Kangxi's mind is not very broad, and what he cannot tolerate is that Aobai does not respect him but lets himself lose a "red face" role of managing the world for him.
As the Kangxi Emperor who has been passed down from history, he was not as bright and broad-minded as later generations said, but instead handled many things in an unbrandish way.
It can be seen that the so-called "Kangxi Emperor" is just a cover in many things. The real Kangxi was just an ordinary emperor who did whatever it took to get his imperial power.
