Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine, located in downtown Beaune, is a century-old winery. The history of Château Dubreuil-Fontaine begins in 1731, when Michel Bouchard, who was engaged in the cloth business, came to Volnay and began a wine business with his son Joseph Bouchard. In 1775, Michel Bauchan bought the first vineyard of Château Dubreuil-Fontaine. Later, the winery was taken over by Joseph Bouchamp, whose vineyard area was greatly expanded during his tenure. For the next few centuries, the winery was run by the Baoshang family. It was not until 1995 that the Bauchan family transferred Château Dubreuil-Fontaine to an old Champagne family, the Henriot family. In 1998, the Hannor family acquired a wine company with nearly 100 hectares of vineyards and an annual output of 33,004 cases, and unexpectedly changed the oak style of the previous wines to produce wines full of fresh and pure fruit. The current owner of the winery is Joseph Henriot of the Hanno family, and under the professional management of this owner, the quality and production of the wines of the Baoshang father and son have been continuously improved. Today, the wines of Château Dubreuil-Fontaine can be found in more than 55 countries around the world, showing the world how amazing the wines of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Burgundy are. Currently, the vineyards of Château Dibreuil-Fontaine cover an area of 130 hectares, of which there are 12 grand vineyards and 74 first-class vineyards. The main grape varieties grown in the garden are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards follow the principle of harmonious balance between man and nature, and with respect for the laws of nature, appropriate human interventions are carried out so that each piece of terroir can show subtle qualities. Each vineyard of the winery is supervised by a dedicated staff. After the grapes reach optimum ripeness, the winery hires pickers to perform manual picking to ensure the integrity of the grapes. The grapes are sent non-stop to make wine. Pinot Noir wines are fermented at low temperatures without bubble peeling to maintain the balance of the wine. White wines emphasize elegance rather than flesh. After a series of processes, the fermented wine is aged in oak barrels, and as the age progresses, the winery's wines gradually become elegant and reveal the essence of their origins. During the aging process, the winery's experienced winemakers pay special attention to balancing the flavors of the grapes with the flavors of the oak, carefully selecting barrels of different origins and qualities according to the potential of each grape. Overall, the wines produced by Château Dubreuil-Fontaine are rich and mature, with balanced acidity, moderate oak taste and exquisite beauty.
