Invisible Woman: How long will it take for women to actually be seen

The role of housewife has not been included in the category of the word "profession" since its inception, and since it is not a profession, it means that no remuneration will be generated, so that those efforts are taken for granted.

The author surveyed 40 married women and revealed the real inner world of housewives through questions from different angles.

Invisible Woman: How long will it take for women to actually be seen

First of all, the author analyzes the reasons why housewives are not seen, mainly related to the fact that men have a higher status in social work than women, greater power than women, and in the relevant sociological literature, women's family status is overly prominent, resulting in social status being ignored. Together, these causes lead to sexism in the field of domestic work.

Gender bias has existed since ancient times, and philosophers' dogmatic views on women, both in the early days of sociology, led to a very low position for women. The traditional concept of housewives as an important means for women to realize the value and return of life, which assigns most of the value of women's lives to doing housework.

It seems that the male protagonist outside the female protagonist seems to be reasonable, and it seems to be in line with the male and female weaving in the farming civilization. But this does not mean that housework is not work, and it is a very superficial view that men's visible remuneration work is defined as labor and giving, and women's housework becomes a very superficial view that should not be seen.

Why should women divide their energy equally between work and family, while men only need to work hard?

In the field of the family, we seem to pay too much attention to women. People always look at women from a male perspective, and a woman who cooks well, is good at cleaning the room, and has children seems to be a role model among women. In family life, excessive attention to women's family life leads us to ignore women's social status.

Two of the respondents' answers stood out:

The best thing about being a housewife is that you can freely spend your time, and the most annoying thing is that you have to do the housework that you can't finish.

There are six kinds of core housework: cleaning, shopping, cooking, dishwashing, laundry, ironing, most women say that although the process is very tiring, but they can let the family eat delicious meals, wear clean clothes they will be very accomplished, and for ironing this endless and troublesome housework is very annoying.

Many people say that there is no end to the housework and that the husband's return home means that he can rest well at the end of the day while the housewife works

Often it's just getting started, cooking, laundry, taking care of children, endless chores that make people crumbling and there's no time for rest at all.

In contemporary society housewife no longer seems to be a negative term, as if housewife means leisurely and relaxed, but as mentioned above, this is not the case.

It is a sad thing that we have even extended this derogation to the words mother and wife because of our "disdain" for housewives.

Invisible Woman: How long will it take for women to actually be seen

Although in the current society, women's consciousness has reached an unprecedented height, there are still many problems that plague women, such as when it comes to childbirth, marriage and other issues, women still face a lot of inequality. This inequality is caused by the inevitable multiple social responsibilities of women, wives, mothers, housewives, these roles closely related to the family have become a problem and even an obstacle to women's upward development at work.

Women need more than being seen as an equal opportunity, an era in which gender is no longer a separate adjective and topic.

We didn't ask for anything too much, we just wanted equal eyes.
