On the evening of April 1, 2003, Zhang Guorong, a superstar of Hong Kong's generation of film and television singers, died of serious injuries due to long-term depression and his emotional loss of control, and he fell from the fitness center window on the 24th floor of the Oriental Mandarin Hotel in Hong Kong, at the age of 46.
It was April Fool's Day in the West, and Pigo, who was studying, was restless all night in the dormitory, feeling unbelievable.
Later, Pi Ge found that the day of Zhang Guorong's death was exactly one year after the release of his posthumous work "Different Degree Space" (March 28, 2002).
Soon there were rumors that Zhang Guorong was responsible for taking over this horror film co-written by Er Dongsheng, Luo Zhiliang, Yang Qianling, and directed by Luo Zhiliang, which led to worsening depression and eventually embarked on the road of no return.
Director Luo Zhiliang of course denied it, claiming that in the whole process of shooting, Zhang Guorong would be very satisfied every time he completed a scene, and he had never seen Zhang Guorong's depressed mood.
However, perhaps the story of the movie itself is remarkable, Zhang Guorong's acting skills are also fascinating, and when Pigo saw the movie, he felt inexplicably strange from beginning to end.
The psychologist Luo Benliang (English name Ah Zhan), played by Zhang Guorong in the film, is a wise, calm, and thoughtful atheist. He never believed in ghosts and gods, and believed that all superstitious things were because of the fantasies that people had in their subconscious after they were exposed to the culture of gods and ghosts from childhood.
Dr. Chen Weizhong, a friend of Ah Zhan, recommended him a beauty, a cousin of Chen Weizhong's wife named Zhang Xin.
She rented a house alone, but after learning that the wife and children of the landlord Mr. Zhu died in the mudslide, she often saw the ghosts of Mr. Zhu's wife and children in the house.
Under the care of Ah Zhan, Zhang Xin's condition has improved, and the feelings between the two have gradually warmed up.
Ah Zhan saw Zhang Xin's diary and found that her parents divorced when she was very young, which caused Zhang Xin a lot of harm. After experiencing several failed relationships, her spirit also began to collapse, and it was from that time that she began to hallucinate and seemed to be able to see ghosts.
Ah Zhan's concern and careful care for Zhang Xin made Zhang Xin very grateful, and she also began to have feelings for Ah Zhan, inadvertently showing good feelings.
However, Ah Zhan began to be wary of this, he did not want Zhang Xin to have an over-dependence on himself, and out of professional ethics as a psychologist, he rejected Zhang Xin.
The devastated Zhang Xin once again recalled the previous experiences of failed love, and committed suicide because it was difficult to control his emotions, but fortunately he was found in time and sent to the hospital.
In order to prescribe the right medicine for Zhang Xin's illness, Ah Zhan found Zhang Xin's parents and took them to the hospital to visit Zhang Xin. In front of his parents, Zhang Xin finally poured out the bitter water that had been buried in his heart for many years and untied the knot.
Zhang Xin's illness was cured, but Ah Zhan fell into his own mental illness.
It turned out that Ah Zhan had a relationship in middle school, and later because of the breakdown of the relationship, Ah Zhan proposed to his girlfriend Xiaoyu to break up, but it led to Xiaoyu, who was very dependent on Ah Zhan, to choose suicide.
This experience became a knot in Ah Zhan's heart, and he chose to study psychology in order to be able to better control his emotions. During the treatment of Zhang Xin, Zhang Xin's past experience made him recall the memories of the past.
Ah Zhan began to hallucinate frequently, often saw the ghosts of small fish, and began to lose sleep. In order to get rid of these hallucinations, he did not hesitate to perform electric shock therapy on himself.
After being discovered by Dr. Chen Weizhong, Dr. Chen was also very worried about him and proposed that he find a girlfriend as soon as possible, and Zhang Xin, who has always had a good feeling for him, is a good candidate.
Ah Zhan and Zhang Xin finally came together, Zhang Xin moved up ah zhan's house to live, the two spent a very happy honeymoon period, and Ah Zhan's condition seemed to be alleviated.
But the good times did not last long, one day when Ah Zhan, Zhang Xin and colleagues in the hospital were eating out together, they met Xiaoyu's parents and were recognized by them.
Without saying a word, Xiaoyu's parents took a cup of water and exploded Ah Zhan's head, and scolded him, saying that he had killed Xiaoyu.
Devastated by this sudden blow, Ah Zhan returned home in a worse condition, not only hallucinating when awake, but also sleepwalking after sleeping.
Zhang Xin recorded the image of Ah Zhan's sleepwalking with a closed circuit and told Dr. Chen about Ah Zhan's sleepwalking. For the sake of Ah Zhan, Dr. Chen also revealed Ah Zhan's condition to the hospital, and the dean decided to give Ah Zhan a long vacation to relax his mood.
However, Ah Zhan's condition did not improve because of his vacation, but became more serious. He was always talking to himself alone, as if a ghost was on his upper body, and wherever he went he could see the ghost of the little fish, he had been following him.
Finally, Ah Zhan ran to the roof where the little fish had jumped off the building before, and wanted to jump from the upper floor and die.
He looked back and saw the ghost of the little fish standing behind him, remembered the happy days with the little fish before, and said to the little fish: "We have been happy and painful together before, I will remember both things, and I will not forget everything like before." I'll die with you..."
At this time, Xiaoyu was touched, and she went forward to hug Ah Zhan and gave him a deep kiss, saying to him: "I don't love you anymore, I don't want you anymore." ”
After saying this, the small fish suddenly disappeared, and standing in front of Ah Zhan was Zhang Xin.
Zhang Xin pulled Ah Zhan back from the edge of the roof, and the two embraced each other.
There used to be rumors that the film actually had two endings, the other ending was that Ah Zhan finally jumped off the roof and ended his life, but was later abandoned because it was too dark.
What is unexpected is that in reality, Zhang Guorong finally embarked on a desperate road, which made it difficult for people like Pi Ge to like him to let go.
Pi Ge has always been unable to bear to watch this movie, and Zhang Guorong used the extraordinary acting skills he had accumulated all his life to interpret a person with psychological problems into three points. There is a scene in the film where he talks to himself, from remorse and fear to resentment and vicious eyes, making the audience suspect that he is really ghosted, and only he can control such a complex change of expression.
Playing such a complex role, in addition to his own acting experience, I believe that he has also put a lot of effort into the thinking of the role. Therefore, although Pigo did not want to think about it, it was difficult to believe that Zhang Guorong's depression had nothing to do with the filming of this movie.
Until now, "Alien Space" is a movie that Zhang Guorong's fans do not want to watch again, and many people feel that this movie is too harmful to him, and even some people think that this is one of the reasons that led to his eventual accident.
But Pi Ge can't deny that "Alien Space" is one of the representative works of Zhang Guorong's peak acting skills.
