Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Lithuania should face up to the objective facts and correct its mistakes

At the regular press conference of the Chinese Foreign Ministry held today, spokesman Zhao Lijian responded to the "Lithuanian Foreign Minister's appeal to the world to resist the 'human rights violations' between China and Russia." Zhao Lijian said that what Lithuania should do is to face up to the objective facts, correct its own mistakes, and return to the correct track of adhering to one China, rather than confusing right and wrong, maliciously speculating, and still less co-opting other countries to unite against China.

A reporter asked whether the Foreign Minister of Lithuania called on the world to resist the "human rights violations" of China and Russia during his visit to Australia.

Zhao Lijian stressed that Lithuania should first reflect on its own human rights abuses and correct the wrong practices of discrimination against ethnic minorities, deliberate abuse of prisoners and indiscriminate violence, violent torture and ill-treatment of refugees.
