A few days ago, overseas media websites exposed a set of volkswagen's new pure electric flagship car test spy photos, the new car can be regarded as the Passat pure electric version of the model, the current internal code name is "Aero B sedan", but the mass production name has not yet been announced. According to foreign media, the design of the new car comes from the concept car "ID Space Vision" released by Volkswagen in 2018, and the future mass production model is expected to debut in 2023. At the same time, thanks to the innate advantages of pure electric models, the new car will have the general interior space of the volkswagen flagship sedan "Phaeton" in the future.

Judging from the spy photos exposed this time, the overall shape of the new car follows the design language of the Volkswagen ID pure electric family. The front-face closed grille resembles the "ID.4" pure electric model released earlier. The lower air intake provides excellent cooling and heat dissipation for the battery pack. In addition, the body side is equipped with a body-flush door handle, and future production models are expected to retain this design and use electronic door handles. At the same time, the sneaky back shape at the rear of the roof of the new car adds a sense of sportiness to the new car.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 84 kW·h and support a fast charging system of up to 200 kW. The comprehensive cruising range of the new car can reach 700km, and under the premise of using fast charging, the new car can increase the cruising range of about 230km in about 10 minutes. In addition, the new car is expected to be the first to release a single-motor rear-drive version, but a dual-motor full-drive version will be available in the future. At the same time, it is not excluded that Volkswagen will launch a "GTX" high-performance version of the car.
