In the first three quarters, the total import and export value of Qingyuan's foreign trade was 38.98 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 30% year-on-year

The reporter learned from Qingyuan Customs that in the first three quarters of this year, the total value of foreign trade imports and exports in Qingyuan City was 38.98 billion yuan, an increase of 29.1% over the same period last year (the same below). Among them, exports were 17.22 billion yuan, an increase of 13.6%,; imports were 21.76 billion yuan, an increase of 44.7%.

From the perspective of trade mode, the import and export of general trade continued to grow. In the first three quarters, Qingyuan imported and exported 25.58 billion yuan in general trade, an increase of 44.2%, accounting for 65.6% of the city's total import and export value in the same period; import and export in the form of processing trade was 12.63 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6%, accounting for 32.4%.

The main export products showed a growth trend, and the growth momentum shifted from the export of textile products (including masks) to the export of mechanical and electrical products. In the first three quarters of this year, the export of labor-intensive products in Qingyuan City totaled 6.6 billion yuan, down 4.5%; the export of mechanical and electrical products was 5.7 billion yuan, an increase of 27.4%; the export of high-tech products (which intersected with mechanical and electrical products) was 2.55 billion yuan, an increase of 16.6%,; and the export of cultural products (intersecting with toys) was 2.24 billion yuan, an increase of 10.3%. In addition, the export of agricultural products was 220 million yuan, an increase of 10.2%.

In terms of imported products, the import support of recycled metals is obvious. In the first three quarters, Qingyuan imported 8.19 billion yuan of recycled metals, accounting for 37.6% of the city's total import value, which was the main support for qingyuan's foreign trade import value this year.

From the perspective of trading partners, Qingyuan's trade volume with major trading partners such as ASEAN, Hong Kong region and the United States has maintained growth. In the first three quarters, Qingyuan's top three trading partners were ASEAN, Hong Kong and the United States. Among them, imports and exports to ASEAN amounted to 9.59 billion yuan, an increase of 47.5%,; imports and exports to Hong Kong amounted to 5.26 billion yuan, an increase of 30.8 percent; imports and exports to the United States amounted to 4.78 billion yuan, an increase of 17.6 percent, and the three together accounted for 50.4% of the total import and export value of Qingyuan City in the same period.

It is worth mentioning that private enterprises account for more than 50%, and the vitality of market players is further released. In the first three quarters, the import and export of private enterprises in Qingyuan was 21.96 billion yuan, an increase of 39.4%, and the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises was 16.55 billion yuan, an increase of 15%.

Since the beginning of this year, Qingyuan Customs has comprehensively used customs clearance facilitation measures such as "advance declaration" and "two-step declaration" to compress customs clearance time; actively promote facilitation measures such as "self-declaration and self-payment", "summary taxation" and "tariff guarantee insurance", reduce the cost of customs clearance for law-abiding enterprises, and revitalize the liquidity of enterprises. At the same time, we will focus on promoting the cultivation of "certified operators" (AEO) and promoting the credit upgrading of high-quality enterprises; deepen the reform of "processing trade supervision with enterprises as the unit", and fully promote the reform of "enterprise group processing trade supervision model" to promote the stable development of processing trade.
