On May 3, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League issued a decision on commending "National Outstanding Communist Youth League Members", "National Outstanding Communist Youth League Cadres" and "National May Fourth Red Flag League Committee (League Branch)", and Cen Xiaolin, a student of Huadong Middle School in Huadu District, Guangzhou, was awarded the title of "National Outstanding Communist Youth League Member".
"National Outstanding Communist Youth League Member" is the highest honor awarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League to outstanding league members, and in this commendation, 505 young people nationwide have received this honor.
Focus on skipping rope and set multiple records
Cen Xiaolin joined the Communist Youth League of China in April 2018. Cen Xiaolin is known as the "Lightspeed Teenager" for his excellent jump rope performance, and has won excellent results in national and international competitions many times. In 2016, he participated in the National Jump Rope Gymnastics Competition and won the championship with 222 times in the 30-second single shake event. In January 2017, he participated in CCTV's "Challenging the Impossible" program, breaking the Guinness World Record. In July 2017, he participated in the national jump rope competition, breaking his own record, jumping 226 times in 30 seconds. In August 2017, he participated in the Asian and Pacific Jump Rope Championships and won the championship in 30 seconds. In December 2017, he participated in the China Libo International Jump rope competition, and won the 30-second single shake and 3 minute single shake championships, the 4×30 single shake relay champions, the 4 × 45 seconds single shake interactive rope relay champion, and the 2400 strongweight champion respectively. In July 2018, he participated in the Shanghai World Jump Rope Competition and won the 30-second single shake and 3 minute single shake championship. In December 2018, he participated in the Wenzhou National Jump Rope Race and won the first place in the 30-second single shake and the individual trick championship. In July and August 2019, he participated in the Norwegian World Skipping Rope World Cup and the National Jump Rope Finals, winning the 30-second single-shake championship and the 3-minute single-shake first place respectively. In November 2019, he participated in the Guinness Challenge of Jumping Rope, and with a score of 1141 times in 3 minutes, he once again set a new world record of 30 seconds single shake. In January 2020, "Challenge the Impossible", which participated in the CCTV program, once again broke the Guinness World Record for 10 people jumping simultaneously.
For training, he sacrificed his play time for the bigger dream in his heart— to see the world with skipping rope. In addition to attending classes, he also trains for four hours a day, constantly practicing back-and-forth flips, speed jumps, trick jumps, etc., and even trains longer when he is close to the competition. Although the daily training is very difficult, sometimes even injured, Kobayashi did not give up lightly, and with the encouragement of his sister and coach, he overcame difficulties, persevered, and constantly challenged himself.
Perseverance Learn to skip the rope without mistake
When Kobayashi first entered the jump rope team, his academic performance was average, and the jump rope was opposed by his parents, which put him in a dilemma. He thought that since he could go up through hard training jump rope results, he could not fall behind after studying hard. Therefore, he also used the motivation to practice skipping rope to study, actively took notes in class, and squeezed out time after class to review homework and consult teachers and classmates. Slowly, his grades improved. In the seventh grade midterm exam, he not only won the top ten in the class, but also won the "Learning Progress Award" and the "Three Good Students Award". These achievements are both an encouragement and a spur for him. He said that whether in training jump rope or in learning, when encountering difficulties, we must face the difficulties.
In life, Kobayashi actively plays the exemplary and leading role of the members of the league, actively participates in public welfare activities, and leads the new trend of upward goodness with the positive energy of youth. He served as a volunteer anti-drug publicity ambassador for teenagers in Huadu District, Guangzhou, calling on young people to stay away from drugs and live a healthy life; he participated in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao youth exchange activities, represented China to Panama to participate in the "Belt and Road" and the "China-Pakistan Diplomatic Relations Establishment Friendly Exchange Activities" to help promote exchanges and cooperation between various places; he also participated in the Boao Forum for Asia, telling the story of Guangzhou with skipping rope.
