Known as the "Lightspeed Kid", Cen Xiaolin has a number of competition events in this finals, and when playing the four-person synchronous pattern jump rope competition, Cen Xiaolin and his teammates have steady footsteps, strong rhythm, and integrate elements such as street dance and martial arts, which have won the attention of the players present.

"I love jumping rope, I hope there will be a breakthrough, and I want to be a physical education teacher in the future." Cen Xiaolin said that he hopes to get good results at the World Jump Rope Championships in Canada next year.

In July this year, Cen Xiaolin broke five club records at the 2019 WJR Jump rope World Cup in Norway and set a new single jump rope record he set last year with 1141 times in 3 minutes. At the scene of the Skipping Rope World Cup, Cen Xiaolin was invited by the president of the New International Jump Rope Federation to sign the first flag after the merger of the original two major international jump rope organizations on behalf of all the athletes at the opening ceremony of the competition.

Cen Xiaolin attended Qixing Primary School in Huadu District, Guangzhou, which was a weak school in a mountainous area before 2012. The school used an ordinary rope to make this group of teenagers from the countryside "jump" to the world, including Cen Xiaolin, who was the holder of the world record of 30 seconds single shake and 3 minute single shake.

When he was a child, under the influence of relatives and friends such as his sister and cousin, Cen Xiaolin also embarked on the road of jumping rope and became a professional jump rope athlete, "When I first came into contact with jump rope, I trained for 4 hours a day, and I felt very hard. Cen Xiaolin said.

According to his jump rope coach Chen Dongli, when Cen Xiaolin first entered the jump rope team, he was the worst performer because he entered the team late and the level was not high. "He was shy at first, not very good at communicating with people, and at a jump rope competition in a local town, his results were very poor, so he was motivated."

After the loss of that competition, Cen Xiaolin will spend more time training than others every day, hoping to narrow the gap, "For example, in the 30-second single shake project, other team members jump five groups, and Cen Xiaolin will consciously jump 7 to 8 groups." Chen Dongli said that with the further improvement of his achievements, Cen Xiaolin gradually became confident and his personality became cheerful.

Today, the jump rope team of Huadong Middle School, where Cen Xiaolin belongs, needs to train 6 to 7 days a week, training for 4 hours a day. If during the competition, the training intensity will increase.

Under such high-intensity training, Cen Xiaolin's academic performance has not been greatly affected. He is at the upper-middle level in the class rankings.

Cen Xiaolin has participated in international jump rope competitions in Dubai, Sweden, Norway and other places. "To tell the truth, you will feel scared when facing strong players overseas, but you will adjust your mentality and play your best strength without being defeated by your opponents." Cen Xiaolin said.

In the past two years, the level of Chinese pattern jump rope has been improved, and Chinese athletes have won many awards in participating in overseas jump rope competitions.

Chen Dongli said that in terms of skipping rope, in the past few years, "Chinese speed" has led the world, but there is still a gap between the level of pattern and the international level, "Chinese students have strong endurance, mainly fighting speed, but overseas players have strong explosiveness, more tricks; Chinese players are generally in the physical development period when they participate, the age is small, and overseas players are generally college students, and even enthusiasts with more than 10 years of jump rope experience, the physical gap is relatively large." The next step is to exert efforts on the pattern elements. (End)
