In fact, during the 44th World Championships, Wu Jiani spoke at the International Youth Forum of the World Championships as a representative of China; during the 45th World Games, she participated in the restaurant competition as a contestant and achieved the best result in the history of China's world championships in this project. "For most of the players who can only experience the World Championship once, I am undoubtedly very lucky." Wu Jiani said.

In October 2017, Wu Jiani accompanied the Chinese delegation to Abu Dhabi. Although she is not a contestant, Wu Jiani also has an important task: to represent Chinese youth and speak on the forum of the competition. At the forum, Wu Jiani shared her skill growth path with young people around the world with fluent English, showing the ingenuity of China's "post-95" youth.

She told the audience that the future of China's young generation is no longer limited to the college entrance examination, and it is also promising to choose vocational education and temper the spirit of craftsmen.

On the topic of "skill becoming talent", Wu Jiani has a lot of say. Four months before the competition, Wu Jiani had just won the bronze medal in the restaurant service project of the "China International Skills Competition", which was also the best result achieved by the Chinese players.

In June 2017, at the "China International Skills Competition" held in Shanghai, Wu Jiani competed on the same stage with foreign players for the first time. Prior to this, Wu Jiani, who joined the work in 2015, has received a year and a half of training in the World Championship Restaurant Service Project. The restaurant service project is strictly "Western food service", and for Chinese players, it is difficult to compete on the same stage with Western players who have been accustomed to Western food culture and etiquette since childhood.

From wine tasting and plating to greeting customers, recommending dishes and introducing ingredients, the competition score of restaurant service projects is as high as thousands. But Wu Jiani, who belongs to the "cow", relied on a stubbornness and also relied on diligence to "nibble" down every scoring point with her heart, and won the bronze medal for the first time in an international competition. Of course, it is a pleasure to win the bronze medal, but what makes Wu Jiani even happier is that through this international competition, she has a deeper understanding of restaurant service.

Two years later, Wu Jiani once again followed the Chinese delegation to the World Championships, this time as a participant. Before the Kazan World Championships, Wu Jiani took the oath on behalf of all the participants as a flag bearer, together with the other three contestants.

Coming to the world competition site again, Wu Jiani only has one wish: to devote herself to the competition and show the charm of Chinese players.

Combined with her own personality characteristics, Wu Jiani realized that "communication and communication" is her strength, so while ensuring the details of the service, Wu Jiani will chat with the guests to let them experience a more warm service, "Of course, we must choose the right time to speak." ”

"One of the photos provided to the museum was me communicating with the guests. At that time, it was a competition in the banquet service module, and each of us had to serve a table of 6 guests. When the guests knew I was a Chinese player, they chatted with me and the whole meal was very enjoyable. Finally, they also told me that they didn't expect the Western food service provided by the Chinese players to be so good! ”

In Wu Jiani's view, a la carte service is the most challenging of the four modules of world restaurant service (banquet service, a la carte service, casual meal service and coffee bar service). "The zero service module competition takes the longest time and involves the most links, the wine has pre-dinner wine and after-dinner wine, the opening and decanting are very exquisite, in addition, it must be simple to cook, I made Flambe when I was in this module competition."

According to reports, Flambe is a common technique in French cuisine. One of the reasons why French cuisine is famous is that it has many Flambe performances, such as waiters cooking green pepper steak in front of customers, Susan special cake flame and so on.

Wu Jiani said that the restaurant service project is not as simple as literally, not just "serving on the plate", not only to understand, taste and make coffee, alcohol, and beverages, but also to master the basic Western cooking, "is a very complex system, need to learn to master the knowledge and skills are particularly many." ”

Finally, with her outstanding performance, Wu Jiani won the 9th place in the 45th WorldSkills Competition Restaurant Service Competition. This result ranked second among Asian players and was also the best place in the history of Chinese players in this event.

After stepping off the field, Wu Jiani became the coach of the restaurant service project of the 46th WorldSkills Competition. At present, the national training team of the World Championship Restaurant Service Project has just been established, and training players has also become an important work content of Wu Jiani.

In addition, as one of the leaders of China Eastern Airlines Skill Master Studio, Wu Jiani also works as a teacher, sharing the experience and skills she has gained in the competition with more colleagues. Wu Jiani, who has owned the "Blue Sky Dream" since childhood, also continues to work as a flight attendant and is a first-class flight attendant in the cabin service department of China Eastern Airlines.
