On May 17, under the guidance of the Panyu District Market Supervision Bureau, the group standard of "Specification for the Production Process of Panyu Pork Porridge in Panyu" led by the Panyu District Catering Industry Chamber of Commerce passed the expert review and was officially released and implemented. This standard summarizes the raw materials and production process of Panyu pork porridge. The release of this team standard will lead Panyu cuisine with standards, polish and condense the brand effect of "taste in Panyu", and promote the healthy and orderly development of Panyu catering industry.

Panyu gastronomic culture has a long history and profound accumulation, and the gastronomic industry is thriving. As the host of the main venue of the Guangzhou International Food Festival, there are more than 20,000 registered catering enterprises, accounting for one-sixth of the number of catering enterprises in Guangzhou, ranking first among all districts, and is known as "food in Guangzhou, taste in Panyu". Since 2014, the Panyu District Catering Industry Chamber of Commerce has launched the standardization of Panyu's "Top Ten Famous Dishes", and successively introduced the production standards of famous dishes such as "Bare Skin Suckling Pig", "Lotus Root Three Treasures", "Shiqiao White Sale", "Shawan Original Milk Tart", "Fried Rice Noodles", etc., of which Shiqiao Bai Sell is the first local standard for dim sum in Guangdong Province, and has achieved obvious results in promoting Panyu cuisine, improving the quality of Panyu cuisine and social and economic benefits.

As one of the top ten famous spots in Panyu, "Panyu Pork Miscellaneous Porridge", since the mid-1990s, has been famous in the Pearl River Delta for its ready-to-cook, fresh and delicious, without the fatness and fishiness of pork, and has become a representative work of Panyu cuisine, a long-lasting food custom. Under the guidance of the Panyu District Market Supervision Bureau, the formulation of the group standard of "Panyu Pork Miscellaneous Porridge" was officially launched from February this year, through standardized means to unify raw material requirements, unified production process, unified production quality to lead Panyu cuisine with standards, play a standardized technical support role in the production process of Panyu authentic famous dishes, polish and condense the "taste in Panyu" brand effect, and activate the vitality of Panyu night economy. At the same time, by improving the production process standards of Panyu famous dishes and gradually building a standard system of Panyu Cantonese cuisine, it is of great significance to publicize the characteristics of Panyu cuisine, reduce food safety risks, promote the healthy and orderly development of Panyu catering industry, and promote the specialization, branding, standardization and industrialization of local diets.

Liang Yingchi, executive chairman of the Panyu District Catering Industry Chamber of Commerce, told reporters that the Panyu District Government attaches great importance to the formulation of the group standard of "Taste in Panyu Pork Porridge Production Process Specification", and hopes to standardize the production process and production quality of "Panyu Pork Porridge" through standardized means, promote the standardization and branding of street food such as pig porridge, build it into a bright business card of "Food in Guangzhou, Taste in Panyu", and enhance and shape the Panyu tourism catering brand. In addition to the release of the group standard of "Taste in Panyu Panyu Panyu Pork Porridge Production Process Specification", the Panyu District Catering Industry Chamber of Commerce and the Panyu District Catering Industry Trade Union Federation also carried out the selection of "Taste in Panyu" famous shops, famous dishes and famous points, and awarded awards on the evening of May 26 to further promote the inheritance and promotion of the essence of "Taste in Panyu" food culture, and promote the inheritance, innovation and sustainable development of panyu catering industry.
