"Teacher Style" Professor of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Director of science and technology Department Wen Hu: "Miner Professor" wrote a rescue miracle

Original title: "Miner Professor" Writes Rescue Miracle - RememberIng Wen Hu, Professor of Xi'an University of Science and Technology and Director of the Science and Technology Division

University professors are generally a very "safe" profession, but Wen Hu is a professor who risks his life.

On May 14, the campus of Xi'an University of Science and Technology was quiet, and no one could connect the atmosphere with the emergency rescue scene. Wen Hu, an expert in the field of mine disaster prevention and emergency rescue, comes from this university.

"If I can use what I've learned to do something for mine safety, I'll be on call." Wen Hu spoke quite quickly, his tone was calm and powerful, just like at the rescue scene, as if no matter how difficult the problem, he could think of a way at a critical moment.

In February this year, Xi'an University of Science and Technology received a letter of thanks from the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government to the university and the nine members of the Wenhu team. The thank-you letter pulled Wen Hu's memory to the scene of the accident rescue at that time.

On January 10, an explosion occurred at the Wat Shan Gold Mine in Qixia City, Shandong Province, and the lives and deaths of 22 miners underground were unknown. Wen Hu was still on a business trip in Yulin at that time, and after learning about this situation from news reports, he judged from experience that there must be survivors among the underground personnel. He immediately called the team members to prepare to use the "borehole communication device" to search for and rescue the survivors of the well.

"Drilling communication device" is independently designed and developed by the Wenhu team, which is composed of a variety of underground detectors, real-time communication wiring wheels, and monitoring computers, and is commonly known as "life detector".

"The length of the real-time communication wiring wheel was 500 meters, and the rescue mission needed to reach a depth of 700 meters at that time." Wen Hu recalled, "I quickly arranged to process the wiring wheel with a length of 1,000 meters. ”

The life detector can get as close as possible to the mine underground accident site, search for and contact the trapped and surviving personnel underground, diagnose various life-saving drilling channels, monitor the physical condition of the trapped people and other information, and solve the problem of the "last kilometer" of rescue.

Rescue scenes are always complex and changeable, and rescuers will always have to race against time and death. Wen Hu and the team members worked overtime, 24 hours of uninterrupted monitoring, searched for trapped people underground, and finally "connected" to 11 surviving miners at a depth of 586 meters, providing reliable first-hand information for the expert group to formulate a rescue plan for precision science, playing an important role in the successful rescue of surviving miners, and was awarded the pennant of "Remembering Life First" by the accident emergency rescue command.

The team staff recalled: "At that time, the weather was particularly cold, and the team members did not return to the station until two or three o'clock in the morning every day to rest, and two personnel were left on duty. The comrades on duty can only rest in the bunks of tents or fire trucks and accept the dispatch of the on-site command at any time. ”

"As long as there is a glimmer of hope, we must not give up." People-oriented, this is our rescue concept. Wen Hu said that every time he was at the scene of the accident rescue, he always hoped to rescue one more person.

Many times, Wenhu risked the possibility of gas explosion at any time, and entered the disaster area with ambulance personnel to explore in order to grasp first-hand information and take targeted plans to eliminate the hidden danger of gas explosion and safely restore mine production. Over the years, Wenhu has participated in more than 200 mine accidents and coal mine fire rescues, and is known as the "miner professor" who wrote the miracle of mine disaster rescue.

Wen Hushi inherits Professor Xu Wonderful, a well-known coal mine safety expert in China. As a university professor, Xu Huanhuan has long promoted scientific research achievements in coal mines and achieved great safety benefits, until the last moment of his life, he was still on the way to the mine.

Passing on the torch. Wenhu has also been deeply involved in the production line of the mine for a long time, with an average of more than 200 days on site every year. He has presided over more than 60 national natural science foundations, scientific and technological research projects, international cooperation projects, won 2 national science and technology progress awards, 1 national teaching achievement award, more than 50 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, more than 80 patents, in the coal fire disaster prevention, mine emergency rescue technology and other aspects of a number of major achievements, promoted the development of national security production and emergency management, and trained more than 150 doctoral and master's degree students.

Wenhu also donated 100,000 yuan and proposed the establishment of the "Xu Wonderful Scholarship", raising more than 3 million yuan to set up the "Xu Wonderful Fund" to reward graduate and undergraduate students who love coal science and have excellent character and learning, and a group of high-level technical and management talents who "can be retained, used and done well" have taken root in western coal enterprises.

The road to miracle is always thorny, full of dangers and uncertainties. This tall "miner professor" also always took a sonorous step towards the hope of every life.
