The EPS drives ADAS functions through real-time communication with the vehicle's central control unit (ECU) and/or other vehicle-related systems. Therefore, there is no doubt about the market space of EPS in the future development of automobiles.
EPS can be divided into steering column assist (C-EPS), gear assist (P-EPS), double pinion electric power steering (DP-EPS), rack and pinion direct assist electric power steering (RD-EPS), and rack parallel electric power steering (RP-EPS)
Among them, the steering column assisted EPS structure is simple, compact, low manufacturing cost, process and later maintenance and maintenance are relatively simple, domestic EPS is mainly C-EPS (EPS in the lowest value-added type), such as: Zhejiang Shibao, Del shares production is CEPS

BEPS – Tailored for Emerging Markets. Customers include SAIC-GM-Wuling's Wuling Hongguang S/S3 minivan, Baojun 730 MPV and Baojun 510/560 SUV, and Changan Automobile's Auchan MPV, CS15 and CS70 SUV
REPS – Ford's F-150 light truck; FCA's Ram Light Truck; and a variety of GM half-ton trucks and SUVs. We also supply our REPS to high-performance vehicles, including the Ford Mustang, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger
SPERPS – PSA's Citroen C3 and DS3 models; DPCA Citroen C-Elysee and Peugeot 2008 models; and the BMW 1 Series, 2 Series, i3 models and the Mini Cooper series
Note that the technical difficulty of EPS mainly lies in the machining accuracy of the rack and pinion.
RP-EPS is the most difficult and efficient to process, and only the Japanese manufacturer JTEKT (EPS ranked first in the world) has done better, and Germany's Bosch (EPS ranked second in the world), which is better at the slightly less difficult RD type EPS
In this case, Nexteer (EPS ranked third in the world) has the most difficult R-type EPS, but it still belongs to the first echelon of technology.
