Turning over the thick history of the CPC over the past century, from the great victory of the revolution to the great rejuvenation of the nation, the revolutionary cultural relics that have endured vicissitudes one after another have recorded a series of red stories that have reached the hearts of the people and the historical moments that have carried forward the past one after another, which is the best witness of the CPC cutting through thorns and forging ahead.

On the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Party, the Central Radio and Television Corporation, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, and the Central Cyberspace Administration jointly launched the "Red Seal - Sound Archive of 100 Revolutionary Cultural Relics", which was officially launched on March 22 at the Central Radio and Television Station, and was simultaneously launched on new media platforms such as CCTV News, CCTV News, and Yunting. 100 narrators, using the "most beautiful voice" to burn a century of memories.

Burning a century-old memory with my voice, I am Sun Yuebin, narrator of revolutionary cultural relics and voice actor. The artifacts I am talking about are a collection of diaries. The owner of this collection of diaries, a household name, is not tall, always has a warm smile on his face, and his name is "Lei Feng". The collection of "Lei Feng's Diary" has a total of 9 volumes, and the replica version is collected in the Lei Feng Memorial Hall in Fushun City.

The diaries on display at the memorial have been damaged in some places, the pages are slightly yellowed, and the black-and-blue ink has become somewhat faded. Turning it over, most of the space is recorded in simple language for ordinary small things and life feelings. The first article in the first volume is a small essay known as "Lei Feng's Seven Questions".

If you are a drop of water, are you moisturizing an inch of land? If you're a ray of sunshine, are you illuminating a bit of darkness? If you are a grain, are you feeding useful life? If you are the smallest screw, will you always stick to the post in your life? I want to ask what you bring to the future? In the warehouse of life, we should not be just an endless payer. --Lei Feng's Diary, June 7, 1958

The young warrior, whose life was fixed on the age of 22, gave the most perfect answer to these questions with his ordinary but great short life.

In December 1940, Lei Feng was born in a poor peasant family in Hunan And became an orphan before the age of 7. After the founding of New China, under the care of the party and the government, Lei Feng grew into a young man with ideals and ambitions.

In January 1960, Lei Feng became an automobile soldier in the Yingkou Recruit Company in Liaoning Province. Ren Guangyou, director of the Lei Feng Memorial Hall in Fushun City, said that Fushun is the birthplace of Lei Feng's spirit and the second hometown of Lei Feng.

Ren Guangyou: Lei Feng wrote many diaries in his lifetime, and of the more than 140 diaries published in the public, more than 120 were written in Fushun.

The words in the diary often reveal gratitude and love for the party and the country.

I was born into a very poor peasant family and suffered a lot in the old society. From the day I joined the revolution, I was always ready to sacrifice everything for the best interests of the Party and the class, up to the most precious of lives. --Lei Feng's Diary, February 8, 1960

Lei Feng has always adhered to the idea of serving the people wholeheartedly, which is also reflected in his words and deeds. After reading "The Selected Works of Mao Zedong", Lei Feng said: I feel that I am alive to make others live better.

Lei Feng: Since joining the army, I have completed the first two, three and four volumes of the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong", and I have learned how a person should live and how to establish a correct revolutionary outlook on life.

Qiao Anshan was Lei Feng's comrade-in-arms, and the two enlisted from Angang at the same time. In Qiao Anshan's view, Lei Feng's becoming a model is to see the spirit in every little thing and achieve greatness in the ordinary.

Joann Hill: Once we were driving, rushing to the steepest place, there was a trolley, to that steep place and not to go up that slope. When he was in a hurry, Lei Feng went over to help him push the cart. He said to me, he said you have to have the people in your head, the masses, you can help him, you have to develop habits.

Donating the money he saved with his own thrift to the commune and the government to support the construction of the commune and disaster relief, the comrades-in-arms' families encountered difficulties, he sent his own allowance in the name of his comrades-in-arms, and used his own money to buy tickets for his sister-in-law who lost the train ticket... Chen Guangsheng, the first author to write "The Story of Lei Feng", recalled: "Helping others is fun, helping people, Lei Feng's spirit is everywhere, there is a saying that Lei Feng travels a thousand miles, and good things do a train." ”

Lei Feng's thinking and pursuit were all integrated into his diary with a sincere heart. Xu Ming, director of the research office of the Lei Feng Memorial Hall in Fushun City, introduced that Lei Feng wrote 9 study notes of nearly 200,000 words. In 1960, Lei Feng's Diary was discovered and publicized.

Xu Ming: "Lei Feng's Diary" was first published in the Shenyang Military Region's "Forward Newspaper" on December 1, 1960, when Lei Feng's life was entitled "Listen to the Party's Words and Dedicate Youth to the Motherland", and 15 diaries of Lei Feng from August 30, 1959 to November 15, 1960 were excerpted.

Just when Lei Feng was flourishing and serving the motherland and the people with full of enthusiasm, an accident occurred. On August 15, 1962, Lei Feng died in the line of duty at the age of 22. Lei Feng wrote in his last diary before his death: "In the future, I will love and respect the people even more, and always be a primary school student of the masses and a servant of the people." ”

In March 1963, Mao Zedong's inscription "Learn from Comrade Lei Feng" called on the people of the whole country to learn from Lei Feng's communist spiritual qualities. In 1963, the Political Department of the Shenyang Military Region asked the "Forward News" to compile Lei Feng's diary, and Dong Zuxiu, head of the party and government group, was responsible.

Xu Ming: In order to let Lei Feng's diary come out as soon as possible and prevent the loss of precious Lei Feng relics, Dong Zuxiu took lei Feng's diary apart, and then organized people to copy it by hand, and then bound it after copying it. The printing plant of the military region specially asked a teacher to follow the hardcover method to bind several volumes of diaries one by one, and then glue the covers. Soon, Lei Feng's diary notebooks totaled 9 copies, together with Lei Feng's other relics, were collected to the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, as valuable spiritual wealth, and long-term treasures.

In April 1963, Lei Feng's Diary was published and distributed nationwide, and since then it has been continuously reprinted dozens of times, and even "crossed the ocean" to foreign countries.

Many people grew up singing "Learning from Lei Feng's Good Example". After more than half a century, when we re-pick up "Lei Feng's Diary", the simple and sincere words in it still stir the heart and inspire the way forward.

Liu Siwen: I am Liu Siwen, a docent at the Lei Feng Memorial Hall in Fushun City. Since I was a child, I have had a copy of "Lei Feng's Diary" next to my bedside, and until now I often take it out and look at it, and it has become an indispensable pillow book in my life. I think that only by better understanding, learning and practicing the spirit of Lei Feng can I tell the story of Lei Feng well, so that more people can understand Lei Feng, know Lei Feng, and learn Lei Feng.
