Hello everyone, I'm Brother Xue. Cabinets are often used in weak current projects, how to install the cabinet? Do I need an installation solution as well? Today, I will share a set of such construction plans, which can be used for reference.

The following points should be paid attention to when installing the cabinet:

1. With the relevant dimensions of the cabinet, check the shape of the equipment to ensure that it matches the selected bracket. A sturdy cabinet can hold up to 250 kg, all mounting screws must not be loose, and the protective rubber pads should be securely installed, so check the tools used to remove the equipment, such as a door or trolley. A good cabinet has wheels underneath, so you just need to put the equipment in it and push the cabinet into the right place.

2. Measure the size of the room and the height of the ceiling, door and elevator through which the cabinet passes. Also, considering the multiple types of equipment in the cabinet, make sure to place the cabinet close to the power supply, network cable socket, and communication socket.

3. Check the angle of opening the cabinet door when opening and closing the cabinet, the standard cabinet door is opened on the right, and the door axis is on the left, of course, the opposite situation is not ruled out. All doors and side panels should be easy to open for easy maintenance. The placement should be vertical, the cabinet surface should be kept horizontal, the vertical deviation should be less than or equal to one percent, the horizontal deviation should be less than or equal to 3mm, the gap between the cabinets should be less than or equal to 1mm, the surface of the cabinet should be complete and undamaged, the screws should be firm, and the concave and convex degree per square meter of surface should be less than 1mm.

4. When you want to install the equipment cabinet into an existing cabinet group, you can arrange the cabinets next to each other, so that it is safe and tidy. Some cabinet groups can't be added for a variety of reasons, or only a few accessories can be added. The best rack pack model is one that is fully scalable and comes with all the necessary hardware to remove the cabinet side panels and connect the cabinets to each other with screws in a row.

Steps for cabinet installation:

2. Cabinet installation planning

In order to facilitate heat dissipation and equipment maintenance, it is recommended that the distance between the front and rear of the cabinet and the wall or other equipment should not be less than 1 meter, and the clear height of the equipment room should not be less than 2.5 meters.

Figure C-2 shows the space plan of the cabinet.

3 Preparation before installation

 Before installation, the site base should be accurate, otherwise it will lead to rework.

4 Install the cabinet

4.1 Installation Process

If the cabinet is mounted on the base and the cabinet is fixed, you can directly install the cabinet accessories. The process for installing the cabinet is shown below.

4.2 Cabinet in place

Place the cabinet in the planned position, determine the front and back of the cabinet, and align the feet of the cabinet with the corresponding foot positioning mark.

 Identification method of the front and back of the cabinet: The side with the wiring box is the back of the cabinet.

4.3 Cabinet level adjustment

Place a horizontal ruler on the top plane of the cabinet in two perpendicular directions to check the levelness of the cabinet. Use a wrench to rotate the screw on the foot to adjust the height of the cabinet to make the cabinet reach a horizontal state, and then lock the lock nut on the foot of the cabinet so that the lock nut is close to the bottom plane of the cabinet. Figure C-4 shows a schematic diagram of cabinet foot locking.

4.4 Installing Cabinet Accessories

1. Cabinet accessories installation process

Cabinet accessory installation includes the installation of cabinet doors, cabinet nameplates, and cabinet door grounding wires, as shown in the process.

2. Confirm before installation

 The cabinet has been fixed; The equipment has been installed on the cabinet; The cable has been installed.

3 Install the cabinet door

The front and rear doors of the cabinet are the same, and they are both double-door structures composed of left and right doors. This is shown in Figure C-6.

Cabinet doors can act as an electromagnetic shield for the equipment inside the cabinet, protecting the equipment from electromagnetic interference. On the other hand, cabinet doors protect the equipment from being exposed to the outside world and prevent it from being damaged. The installation diagram of the front and rear doors of the cabinet is as shown in the installation steps:

(1) Align the bottom pivot pin of the door with the pivot pin hole of the lower frame of the cabinet, and attach the bottom of the door.

(2) Pull down the top axle pin of the door by hand, and align the through hole of the axle pin with the axle pin hole of the cabinet lintel.

(3) Release the hand, and reset the axle pin upwards under the action of the spring, so that the upper axle pin of the door is inserted into the corresponding hole of the lintel of the cabinet, so that the door is installed on the cabinet.

(4) Follow the above steps to complete the installation of other cabinet doors.

The movable axle pin is installed on the door panel before leaving the factory and does not need to be installed again when it is installed in the field.

 After the installation of the left and right doors on the same side of the cabinet, the gap between them and the lintel may be uneven, so the gap between the two needs to be adjusted. Mediation method: add a spacer between the axle pin hole of the lower frame of the middle cabinet and the axle pin at the lower end of the cabinet door (included in the cabinet door package).

4. Install the cabinet nameplate

(1) Take out the cabinet nameplate.

Peel off the sticker on the back of the nameplate and stick the nameplate in the rectangular recess position on the upper part of the door on the left side of the front door of the cabinet, as shown.

5. Install the cabinet door grounding wire

After the installation of the front and rear doors of the cabinet is completed, the door grounding wire needs to be installed near the position of the shaft pin at the lower end of the cabinet to make the front and rear doors of the cabinet reliably grounded. The door grounding wire connects the door grounding point to the grounding screw on the lower enclosure of the cabinet, as shown.

(1) Before installing the door grounding wire, confirm that the front and rear doors of the cabinet have been installed.

(2) Unscrew the nut on the grounding stud at the bottom of a door in the cabinet.

(3) Put the free end of the adjacent door grounding wire (one end is connected with the lower frame of the cabinet and the other end is suspended) on the grounding stud of the door.

(4) Attach the nut and then tighten it as shown to complete the installation of a door grounding wire.

(5) Complete the installation of the grounding wires of the other 3 doors in the order of the above steps.

 For self-purchased cabinets, the grounding wire from the cabinet to the grounding of the computer room requires the use of yellow and green two-color multi-strand flexible wires with a nominal cross-sectional area of not less than 6mm2, and the length cannot exceed 30m.

4.5 Cabinet Installation Inspection

After the installation of the remote Jiahe cabinet is completed, please check according to the items in the project, and the listed items are required to be in normal condition.
