Statistics show that in 2023, the output value of China's white tea will be 8.70 billion yuan, an increase of 13.5% over 2020; The output value of white tea is rising year by year, and new industry outlets are emerging.
In order to promote the development of the white tea industry to a new level, the tea industry has built a new pattern of industrial development with the "three teas", and made every effort to promote the high-quality development of the white tea industry.
Wang Qing, president of the China Tea Circulation Association and chairman of the National Tea Standardization Technical Committee, pointed out that China's white tea industry has made rapid progress in the first production (planting) and second production (processing), mainly in the tertiary production stage, to solve the problem of difficult to sell tea, to help tea farmers increase income, tea enterprises to increase efficiency.
According to the statistics of the China Tea Circulation Association, in terms of domestic sales, the total sales of white tea in China in 2023 will be 10.75 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%; In terms of export sales, the unit price of white tea is the highest among the six major tea categories, at US$25.24/kg.

During the event, the results of the 2024 white tea industry survey series were released, encouraging more outstanding tea producing areas and tea enterprises to invest in the cultivation of the white tea market. China White Tea City released the classic series of ration teas for supply and marketing, and China White Tea City signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Industrial Bank on industrial chain finance, etc., to help the white tea industry break through the circle.

Zhenghe White Tea, a Chinese geographical indication product, has increased its brand value to 6.118 billion yuan. In recent years, based on the resource endowment of the tea industry, Zhenghe County has actively explored innovation-driven elements such as the coordination of the whole industry chain and the improvement of the business environment, and built a relatively complete Zhenghe white tea industry cluster.
