As an important carrier for the activation and utilization of cultural relics, museums are the carriers and ways for the whole people to share the achievements of cultural protection. In recent years, Laoshan District has made full use of Laoshan's rich heritage resources and rich cultural accumulation, and has taken the lead in the province to practice the Laoshan model of integrating museums into modern life, turning a variety of museums into popular check-in places, adding a different cultural background to the city.
"Borong Wanjia Laoshan District Museum Inter-Museum Joint Exhibition" is the first museum activity brand launched in Laoshan District in the province since 2019. Through the integration of high-quality museum resources in the region, the museum organizes and holds exhibitions of fine collections, theme exhibitions and other activities every year, attracting a total of more than one million tourists and residents to enter the museum, realizing the transformation of the museum from "private collection" to "social sharing". In 2021, the "Borong Wanjia" inter-museum joint exhibition was shortlisted for the top ten events of Qingdao cultural tourism that year. In 2023, the "Laoshan Model of Borong Wanjia Diversified Co-construction to Build the High-quality Development of District and County Museums" is the only one in the city that was selected as the first batch of high-quality development cases of cultural relics in Shandong Province.

The 2024 Laoshan District Museum Inter-Museum Joint Exhibition Series will be launched on the fifth floor of Qingdao Jinshi Museum at 2:00 p.m. on May 18 and will last until the end of August, for a period of 100 days. Among them, the Qingdao & Shanghai Twin Cities Joint Exhibition is the first of its kind this year, in which the Shanghai Treasure House Ingenuity Museum and non-state-owned museums in Laoshan District will focus on the collection of fine works in the Jinshi Museum, further building a bridge between the museum and the public, and jointly opening a cross-dimensional cultural exchange.
