At the opening event, the Shanghai Opera Troupe and the Shanghai Pingtan Troupe respectively brought new repertoire.
On the occasion of the 48th International Museum Day, on May 18, the opening event of the "Glorious City, Solidarity" Changning Cultural Museum Month was held. As a supporting unit, the Shanghai University Reading Culture Education Alliance, led by Shanghai Business School, jointly organized this event with the Changning District Culture and Tourism Bureau and the Changning District Cultural Relics Management Bureau, and implemented the plan of "One Museum, One Book, One Person" and "Walking Ideological and Political Courses".
The play is adapted from the novel of the same name by the famous writer Sun Ganlu, which tells the story of the serious damage to the secret organs of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai in 1932, the decision of the Party Central Committee to rebuild the top-secret communication line, and the underground workers of the CCP represented by Chen Qianli and others in a life-and-death struggle with the enemy on the hidden front full of dangers. Pingdan's works give the novel a palpable artistic image of "those who have firm faith in the dust of history", give full play to the artistic characteristics of speaking, gimmicking, playing, singing, and acting, explore the artistic space of Pingdan's interpretation of red spy warfare and performance of major themes, and lead the audience into the anxious and chaotic times of the year, looking back at how a group of unsung heroes bowed down to the game, escorted the red boat in the stormy waves of history, and waved the "thousands of miles of rivers and mountains" with blood and life.
Lao Xiaoyun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Business School and Secretary-General of the Shanghai University Reading Culture Education Alliance, Yang Yining, Deputy Director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Changning District, Gao Bowen, Head of the Shanghai Pingtan Troupe, Chen Suping, Head of the Changning Shanghai Opera Troupe, and Professor He Yizhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism of East China University of Political Science and Law, attended the event. "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" uses the traditional art of Jiangnan as the carrier to show us the revolutionary past that can be sung and cried. It provides an important reference significance and learning value for our young people in the new era to inherit the excellent traditional culture and stimulate the modern vitality of traditional art. The Shanghai Opera "Tongzhou" performed by the Changning Shanghai Opera Troupe is based on the daily work of a grassroots legislative contact point, how to fully listen to the public opinion in the process of amending the law, how to conduct in-depth investigations and solve the people's difficulties and expectations in a democratic and coordinated way.
Ren Jiani, a member of the presidium of the Student Union of Shanghai Business School, said after the event: "As a Shanghainese and a Shanghai opera lover, I am very fortunate to be able to hear Mr. Wang Bin's wonderful singing today. Combined with the theme of this year's International Museum Day, "Museums are committed to education and research", this event specially invited Professor He Yizhong, Secretary of the Party Committee and doctoral supervisor of the School of Marxism of East China University of Political Science and Law, to share wonderful stories of party history. Taking the background of the creation of "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" as a guide, he used detailed historical materials to tell the story of the Shanghai Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in the face of the enemy's encirclement and suppression, and showed the martyrs of the Shanghai Bureau who bravely and fearlessly continued to fight at the forefront of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and made immortal contributions to the liberation of Shanghai and the birth of New China.
