Pierre Hugues Vallin, designer of PhDesign studio in France, presents Project Orion, a 38-metre-long luxury yacht designed to be an "adventurer in a tuxedo" and an ideal boat for exploring the unknown.

According to designer Vallin, this fully displacement yacht is designed with the concept of "comfort for all seasons", which cleverly blends power and elegance. Its muscular appearance, made up of muscular "shoulders" and a low, sleek forward line, provides a comfortable leisure experience for guests in the relatively open open deck space aft, rain or shine or the changing seasons.

The two-tone paint scheme alludes to the duality of comfort on both expedition and luxury yachts – bronze for comfort, black for more technical areas, and toys on display on the upper deck.

Commenting on the exterior design, Vallin said: "In the bow section, I deliberately designed a small amplified section under the windows on the main deck, which not only adds a touch of shadow to the hull, but also reinforces the sense of power on the front of the yacht. This design also subtly expands the cabin space, allowing the yacht to evacuate the waves more effectively in rough seas. ”

The yacht also features a range of eco-conscious design features, including large solar panels on the sundeck, as well as a plethora of bio-based materials and natural fibres. In addition, the hybrid yacht can easily sail several nautical miles on a single charge. When anchored, the yacht can run for several days on batteries only, achieving low-noise, low-pollution green sailing. This not only enhances the comfort experience of tourists, but also invisibly promotes the sustainable development of yachting.

With a sporty exterior, the yacht has a gross capacity of approximately 380 tonnes and a beam of 8.6 meters, accommodating a total of 12 guests and 9 crew members, including a full-width master suite on the main deck with a private terrace at the front. The owner's private area can be customised and includes a private apartment with an office or massage room. On the lower deck, there is also a full-width VIP cabin, which complements the adjoining private salon and provides guests with an exclusive experience. Four double crew cabins are strategically arranged at the bow, with a captain's cabin on the upper deck.

When guests ascend, the magnificent exterior lounge area on the main deck is their first intimate encounter with the sea. Spacious sun mats and two plush sofas, combined with a sophisticated bar, create a lively yet elegant social space with views from both sides and the waves at the stern of the boat and the sea and sky in the distance.

Sliding glass doors gently open to create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living spaces. In the main indoor salon, comfortable white chairs and ocean-themed art installations are intertwined, creating a sense of nautical romance and passion. Light pours through the openings, illuminating every nook and cranny and reinforcing the connection between guests and the tranquil sea views. Feel like you're in a sunny loft with a terrace, bathed in the warm sea breeze and feeling the endless charm of the sea.

At the fore of the main deck, the choice of materials subtly transforms the otherwise bright interior into a deep and mysterious atmosphere, and behind the dining table, a large screen stands silently, not only as a visual focal point, but also as an emotional bond. Guests can show a movie of their trip and let every moment be recreated on the screen. The screen walls, on the other hand, are subtly extended to the sides, serving as not only a vehicle for viewing, but also a hidden door to the adjacent area. When privacy is required, these screen walls can be gently closed to isolate the outside world.

The upper deck is known as the "Tech Deck", where toys, jet skis and submarines will be stored, next to a large-tonnage crane located on the port side. There is also the immersive and interactive Skybridge Lounge, where guests can plan travel and activity routes, fly aerial and underwater drones, and capture their experiences in the company of state-of-the-art virtual reality and artificial intelligence technology. In front of the boat, there is a spacious and comfortable sunbathing area. If you wish, you can also install a comfortable jacuzzi here to soothe and relax your tired body and mind in the gentle flow of water.

At the same time, on the yacht's sun deck, a variety of events can be held, including relaxation, celebrations or formal events, thanks to the flexible bar and external galley space, where guests can enjoy the view while sipping cocktails or al fresco dining. There is a luxurious swimming pool in front flanked by sofas for basking in the sun, while the views in front of you are endless.

Walking out of the salon, a seemingly ordinary door hides a secret passage to the beach club. It is a haven for guests seeking the ultimate in relaxation. Massage facilities, saunas and large sunbeds are available, and seaside bartenders create delicious cocktails for guests. The space is also cleverly designed to store bicycles, annex boats, dive boosters and dive equipment, satisfying guests' desire to explore the marine world.

Vallin adds: "I adapted the layout to create an option where he created a large salon space, which is cleverly separated from the dining room by a central bar and kitchen, which allows the space to be independent and the whole area to echo each other. The Central Kitchen is also home to a Michelin-starred restaurant, where chefs can showcase their skills and serve delicious dishes to guests. The dining area can be enclosed as a meeting place, meeting the dual needs of guests for business and leisure. This layout gave me the possibility to create another large room on the main deck, which could be used as a massage room or a small gym. Guests can enjoy soothing and relaxation of the body and mind, or rejuvenate through exercise. This design not only enhances the practicality of the yacht, but also allows guests to have an unforgettable time here.
