In the past few days, at the river treatment project site in Wangcao Town, Suiyang County, workers have been working in an orderly manner at their respective posts. The reporter saw at the scene that large excavators, bulldozers, and transport vehicles roared continuously, shuttling back and forth in the river, and the busy scene of "full horsepower" played the spring endeavor song.
It is understood that the project mainly involves three tributaries of Hongqi River, Shiban Creek and Miaobagou, with a total length of 7.425 kilometers, including 5 reconstructed barrages, 4 water falls, 3 traffic bridges, 5 pedestrian bridges, and 8.49 kilometers of new embankment trails. Through new river embankments, bank slope improvement, river dredging and widening and other engineering measures, the area of river flood discharge section will be increased, the flood discharge capacity of river channel will be improved, and the land, houses and population on both sides of the river will be protected from flood hazards, so as to ensure the sustainable and stable development of the local economy.
"At present, the project has completed the dredging work of the Miaoba ditch and the tributaries of Shibanxi, and is now under construction for the mechanical stone stacking part of the berm of the Hongqi River section, with a total length of 5.6 kilometers, and the remaining 1,400 meters of mechanical stacked stone berm will be completed at the end of May as planned, which can effectively ensure the stability and safety of the slopes on both banks." Zeng Peng, project manager of Guizhou Runfeng Jinyuan Engineering Co., Ltd., introduced.
In the face of the tight construction period, heavy tasks, and the difficulty of construction due to the rising rainfall level of the river project, the competent department strengthened the coordination service, and the project construction unit adopted the method of "seeing the seams and inserting the needle", adding measures, strict management, and comprehensively advancing the qualified work to ensure the progress, quality and construction safety of the project.
Since the start of the project, Wangcao Town has adhered to the guidance of party building, set up a special class for river treatment projects, focused on standardizing the construction and management of river treatment projects, organized cadres to go deep into the front line of the construction site, took the lead in grasping the progress of the project, taking the lead in controlling the quality of the project, and taking the lead in implementing safe production, so as to provide basic guarantee and support for the smooth progress of the project with high quality and high quality.

It is reported that after the completion of the project, it will enhance the flood prevention and disaster reduction capacity of the river section, ensure the safety of life and property of more than 36,600 people on both sides of the river and more than 5,200 acres of farmland.
