During TCT Asia 2024, BLT exhibited many new cases of additive manufacturing in large size, user cooperation, and industrial applications.

Advanced thermal management applications

Among them, BLT-S1500 metal additive manufacturing equipment, the latest engineering application case, integrated hybrid reaction radiator, made a shocking appearance. The integrated mixing reaction radiator integrates the functions of mixer, reactor and radiator: it can fully mix the four kinds of materials, add other materials for reaction and discharge the waste, and finally produce the mixed, reacted and cooled materials after cooling. The product is large in size, contains a variety of complex structures and fine features, and the interface can be flexibly adapted to the design according to different working conditions. Through the integrated molding of BLT 26 laser BLT-S1500 equipment, the number of parts is reduced, the assembly is simplified, and the volume of parts is smaller. BLT-S1500 equipment has high stability, ensures the forming quality of parts, greatly shortens the production cycle, and lowers the economic cost.

Green and environmentally friendly shoe mold processing

Metal additive manufacturing technology makes the appearance design of shoe molds more free, and can form more diverse surfaces, lines, and textures, providing a richer display depth for brand value display. At the 2024 TCT Asia exhibition, BLT showcased the RB outsole shoe mold and supercritical foam midsole shoe mold-middle frame printed for Zhongke Fengyang using BLT-S400 metal additive manufacturing equipment. BLT equipment can realize the overall formation of the model cavity of RB outsole shoes and the texture of the sole at one time, and the production efficiency is 2 times higher than the traditional processing speed. BLT's specially developed process for shoe molds allows for finer texture features and detail features ± 0.02mm fineness.

The supercritical foam midsole shoe mold produced by BLT - the surface texture of the middle frame is fine, and the exhaust holes of the mold surface are densely arranged and reasonable. It can shorten the mold processing process and reduce the processing difficulty; shorten the production cycle of foamed products and improve product quality; And make the mold processing more green and environmentally friendly.

BLT-GAM100 has developed a special material for shoe mold applications, which can meet the needs of two different processes: digital and chemical flower biting, and flexibly match a variety of application scenarios. At TCT Asia, BLT showcased three types of RB mold frame samples formed with this material, namely: digital flower bite, chemical flower bite (before biting), and chemical bite flower (after biting). The size of the single sample is 162mm×79mm×30mm, and the weight is 0.75kg.

The mold processing cost is lower and the cycle time is shorter

BLT 3D printed five-cylinder engine water jacket for Yunjing Technology has a size of 350mm×105mm×210mm, and a weight of 8kg; The size of the injection mold is 310mm×200mm×55mm, and the weight is 4kg. The two products use automatic grafting technology to realize 3D printing, automatic grafting of parts and machining bases of important parts such as mold conformal waterways, mold cavities, etc., to help customers save processing costs, shorten production cycles, and improve comprehensive production efficiency.

Highly reflective metal additive manufacturing applications

Copper alloy powder has a high reflectivity, and the absorption rate of near-infrared light at room temperature is only 5%, and it is difficult for the laser to continuously melt the copper alloy powder, resulting in low forming efficiency and difficult to control the forming quality. BLT has developed a copper alloy forming process, using BLT-S400 to form a thin-walled annular structure high-frequency induction coil with an internal cavity, with a coil size of 86mm×76mm×26mm and a weight of 72g, and the quality of the formed copper high-frequency induction coil can fully meet the requirements of product applications.

Manufacture of high value-added tools

BLT also showcased new applications in the field of cutting tools: titanium milling cutters and milling shanks. The size of the milling cutter head is 123mm× 123mm×84mm, and the size of the milling cutter shank is 94mm×48mm×48mm. Based on the additive manufacturing thinking, BLT has designed and optimized the milling cutter head and milling cutter holder, optimized the internal cooling system, reduced the dead weight of the formed parts compared with the original solution, improved the service life of the tool, and reduced the working energy consumption.
