Zhangbei Grassland Tianlu Scenic Area
Grassland Sky Road, located at the junction of Zhangbei County and Chongli District of Zhangjiakou City, from Daqingshan (National Forest Park) on the south side of Shangyi County in the west to Huapiling in Chongli District in the east, is an important passage connecting Chongli Ski Area, Chicheng Hot Spring Area, Zhangbei Grassland Scenic Area, Shangyi Daqingshan Scenic Area, and is also one of the ten most beautiful highways in Chinese mainland.
The traffic of the grassland road is very convenient, the Beijing-Tibet, Zhangshi, Zhangcheng three expressways go directly to the sky, and the 207 national highway runs through the north and south of the grassland road. Zhangjiakou Airport and Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway have brought great convenience to the passage of tourists, Taixi Railway is under construction, and Grassland Tianlu will become the preferred destination for self-driving tourism in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Jinmeng.
There are 5 scenic spots along the Zhangbei section of the Grassland Tianlu (Natural Art, Tianlu Base Camp, Tianlu Snow Town, Dahao River Mountain, Jiguan Mountain), 3 service centers (Huapiling Tourist Service Center, Liutiaoba Tourist Service Center, Huanghuaping Tourist Service Center), and 12 post stations (Baihuawan, Lujiaying, Potala, Leekgou, Xinfangying, Xiaonanwa, Heifengkou, Mengliangcheng, Liujiafang, Hajiaoqing, Zhengbiantai, Bailongdong).
The best time to enjoy the scenery along the grassland road is summer and autumn (the temperature is more suitable, the body temperature is moderate, there is no spring wind raging, there is no extreme cold in winter. The maximum temperature in summer is around 24 degrees Celsius on average. Tourists can choose to visit in these two seasons). From June to August every year, it is the season when the flowers and plants bloom on the grassland, the endless green, and the distant mountains on both sides of the highway are undulating, a vibrant wonder. From September to October, the autumn of the grassland comes, the earth changes into a golden coat, when driving along the road, the green and yellow color blocks, the visual impact, overwhelmingly capture your vision.
