What jobs do 40+ people do in New Zealand? Let me share my work

author:Kobayashi

I am a 40-year-old ordinary person, there is no treasury support at home, I don't have excellent skills, and I don't have any serious jobs in China, but by chance, I got a job opportunity to come to New Zealand, no education, work experience and English, only need a non-guilty Z record and a health physical examination report, for me it is really an opportunity that I couldn't think of before, so I decided to bring my family to New Zealand and start a new life from scratch.

What kind of work can an ordinary person do in New Zealand?

Blue-collar workers, the choice of most workers

Of course, I'm also a blue-collar worker, and my salary is 29.66 per hour, which is about the median level, not too high or low, so what do I do?

‬我的工作,民宿管理及清洁

My company is a Tauranga B&B management company that manages 30-40 rooms in Tauranga and Rotorua, and the company has a lot of turnover and is therefore qualified to hire overseas workers. The boss is Chinese, and she wants to recruit people in China, because the job of the locals in the past is more stable than that of locals.

The daily work is to clean the room, replenish the necessities, decorate the room, respond to the problems of guests, and sometimes help to photograph the room. All the work was done by one person, there was no particular difficulty, there were no colleagues, and the boss was very nice, so I had a lot of fun.

I work 3-5 hours a day, and the rest of the time is free to spend, I will accompany my family or play around and take pictures, life is simple and dull but I feel good.

‬慢慢过上了“向往的生活”

Now my life is more and more regular, I get up in the morning to make breakfast, send the children to school and go to work, pick up the children from school just after work, and then go home to do what I like, the children play outside with other children, and then dinner, walking, family fun, sleeping. Go out together on the weekends, or make cakes at home, take care of the garden, and live a leisurely life.

Some people say that this is not rural life in the countryside? It is also true that rural life is the "life that most urban people yearn for", and the only difference is the surrounding environment.

There is no shortage of clean air and safe food in rural areas, and in New Zealand, children are educated in English, and there are guaranteed medical benefits, which may not be possible in rural areas, but I also wish I could have them.

At 40+, I went abroad to work, and many people said that my courage was commendable. I did this not only for the sake of my children, but also for the sake of my heart and the desire to live a different life.

What kind of life do you want to live, welcome to share in the comment area!
