The 2024 GAC Toyota Sena was launched, and the global car was upgraded specifically for China
As a global flagship MPV designed for the Chinese market, the 2024 GAC Toyota Sena was officially launched at the Beijing Auto Show, attracting widespread attention from inside and outside the industry. The new car has been innovated and upgraded in three aspects: safety, comfort and intelligence to meet the all-round needs of Chinese family users for high-end MPVs.
Safety is one of the biggest highlights of the new car. The new E-FOUR electronic four-wheel drive system achieves precise torque distribution in the range of 100:0-20:80, improving the vehicle's handling stability in complex road conditions. The T-Pilot intelligent driving assistance system and the upgraded panoramic monitoring system are standard on all models, which further enhance the active and passive safety protection capabilities. The T-Pilot system integrates a variety of advanced driver assistance functions, such as lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and front vehicle start reminder, which can greatly reduce driving fatigue and improve driving safety. The panoramic monitoring system provides the driver with an all-round view through 360-degree splicing without dead ends, effectively avoiding the blind spot of the traditional rearview mirror.
Comfort has always been the core selling point of Sena, and the new generation model has been comprehensively upgraded in this regard. The most striking thing is that it is equipped with the same integrated airline seat as the Alpha, which adopts an ergonomic design, the seat wraps better, and the body can maintain the best posture of the body even after long-distance driving. At the same time, the seats are made of high-grade leather materials, with multi-point heating and ventilation functions, providing a first-class riding experience. The interior is made of high-quality soft materials with a delicate feel, and double-layer acoustic glass has been added to the rear seat area to effectively reduce the impact of road noise on passengers. The air conditioning system has also been upgraded to support independent rear seat temperature control to ensure comfort throughout the car.
Intelligence is the biggest highlight of the new car. The new car is equipped with Qualcomm's latest generation Snapdragon 8155 chip, which greatly improves the computing power. The large central control screen adopts 2K ultra-high resolution, the display effect is delicate and realistic, and at the same time, it also supports the three mainstream on-board systems of CarPlay/CarLife/HiCar, which can realize the seamless connection between people, cars and homes. For the first time, the new car also uses Huawei's intelligent voice assistant, which can use voice commands to complete various operations such as navigation, music playback, and window control, greatly improving the driving experience.
In order to make the new car more competitive, GAC Toyota has readjusted and repositioned the price of the 2024 Sena. The official guide price of the whole series is 25,000 yuan lower than that of the previous generation model, with a starting price of 284,800 yuan, and the price of high-end models such as the premium version is 344,800 yuan, and the price of the four-wheel drive luxury version is 320,800 yuan. By reducing the price of new cars, the threshold for new cars will be greatly lowered, which is expected to attract more middle-class family users.
