At about 2:40 p.m. on May 2, in Guangling Village, Guangzhong Road Street, Hongkou District, community residents found that there was smoke and some open flames in a charging compartment of a smart charging cabinet, and quickly dialed the 119 fire alarm number, and when the fire rescue personnel arrived and found that the fire had been basically extinguished by the automatic protection fire extinguishing system that came with the charging cabinet, and the sporadic open flames on the surface of the charging compartment remained, and the fire rescue personnel completely extinguished it with only two bottles of dry powder fire extinguishers, and the fire did not cause major property damage and casualties.
Later, after the technical personnel of the operation and maintenance unit of the intelligent charging cabinet, a ternary lithium battery in the charging cabinet spontaneously combusted, and the high temperature of the open flame was detected, and the built-in hot gas melt adhesive automatic fire extinguishing device of the charging cabinet immediately responded and automatically extinguished the fire. In addition, the steel plate used in the whole cabinet is a flame-retardant material that has passed the explosion-proof fire test, which successfully controls the spontaneous combustion and explosion of the battery in the cabinet. The other warehouses of the smart charging cabinet and the adjacent charging cabinets were only blackened by smoke and did not cause functional damage. In order not to affect the normal charging of citizens, the staff immediately replaced the new smart charging cabinet.
It is understood that Guangling Village is an old community built in the 50s of the last century, the houses are mostly brick and wood structures, there are many wooden corridors in the community, and the consequences of a fire are unimaginable. When there was no outdoor smart charging cabinet before, the phenomenon of home charging and flying wire charging occurred from time to time, and the smart charging cabinet extinguished the spontaneous combustion battery incident so that many residents saw the actual role of the smart charging cabinet.
