They have all grown up and have children of their own, but in their hearts, it always seems that I should selflessly dedicate my life to them. When I was younger, I put all my thoughts on my family and children, and at that time, they were all I had. But now, they seem to have forgotten that I have my own dreams, my own life. I'm retired and want to travel and see the world, but my children think it's an extravagant hope, and it shouldn't be. They felt that I should always be there for them, working hard for their lives all the time.
When I was traveling, I received a call from my children. They asked me when I was going back and said they wanted me to help with the kids. It's not that I don't want to help, it's just that I have my own plans. This made me feel a little helpless, and I couldn't help but feel a little aggrieved. I thought they would understand me, after all, I was also their mother.
But they seemed to be more concerned about my own difficulties than about my heart's desires. They didn't care about my feelings and just felt that I should be thinking about them whenever and wherever I wanted. It was frustrating and heart-wrenching. I don't know what to do, I just hope they can understand me and respect my choice.
It's not that I don't want to help them with their children, it's just that I also have my own life and my own dreams. I hope they can understand my feelings and not always see me as their dependence. I love them and I want them to understand my heart.
