Soma flowers are in bloom, and the mountains welcome guests. On April 27, the 2024 Qingliang Liangshan Zhaojue Soma Flower Season opened in Gukede Scenic Area. The holding of this event is a powerful measure for Zhaojue County to further promote the strategy of strengthening the state through cultural tourism and strive to build a cultural experience center of the Yi nationality in Daliangshan and a "cool summer" all-for-one tourism destination.
The opening ceremony theatrical performance kicked off in the group dance "Song on the Clouds", the songs "Zhaojue Welcomes You", "Miss Gu Kede", "Buckflower", women's group dance "Silver Fenghua", singing "Soma Blossom", cross talk "Soma in the heart", song and dance "Heartstrings" and other programs were staged in turn. The whole theatrical performance has a distinct theme, diverse forms, rich content and splendor, a program full of deep meaning, a period of enthusiastic performances, and a gripping song, presenting an audio-visual feast for the guests and tourists, and winning the applause of the audience. The performance came to an end in the "Song of Staying Guests" with the characteristics of the Yi nationality.
It is reported that the 2024 Cool Liangshan Zhaojue Soma Flower Season will be launched on April 27 and will last until May 30, during which a series of activities will be carried out, such as the Most Beautiful Soma Flower Photo Contest, Colorful Intangible Cultural Heritage Tour, Hoshino Outdoor Activities, "In Photography" and "In Fashion", Barbecue Festival, Bicycle Open, "Age Home" Aojie Age Concert and other activities. Tourists can not only watch the Soma flowers, but also experience the rich folk culture of Daliang Mountain, and carry out outdoor recreation activities in the wetland.
Zhaojue County is located in the hinterland of Daliang Mountain, enjoying the reputation of "Yi Cultural Corridor", "Hometown of Chinese Yi Costumes" and "Hometown of Horses", with convenient transportation, rich tourism resources and strong ethnic customs.
Gukede is more than 40 kilometers away from Xichang and takes more than 1 hour by car. "Gu Kede" is the Yi language, translated as "the place where wild geese inhabit", there are alpine wetlands, alpine meadows, alpine lakes, Soma flower seas, primeval forests and other diverse ecological landscapes, with an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. From April to May every year, 10,000 acres of Soma flowers bloom and are beautiful, which is a good place to enjoy flowers and check in.
