Taishan Scenic Area requires a real-name system

The Yinxu Scenic Area in Anyang, Henan Province also issued an announcement through its WeChat public account, saying that due to the large number of tourists during the "May Day" Golden Week, in order to ensure the safety and good experience of tourists, the Yinxu Scenic Area and the Yinxu Museum will open a limited reservation system. Tourists and friends must make reservations and purchase tickets through the official WeChat public accounts of "Yinxu Scenic Area" and "Yinxu Museum", or major OTA platforms such as Douyin, Ctrip, and Meituan, so as to avoid being unable to purchase tickets and enter the park due to current restrictions after arriving at the scenic spot.

Admission to many scenic spots is free

On the eve of this year's "May Day", a number of paid scenic spots across the country also announced a free admission policy.

Xiling Snow Mountain Scenic Area in Chengdu, Sichuan Province announced that from April 21, 2024 to May 5, 2024, for tourists from all over the country to be free of charge (excluding Qianshan Dafeishui Scenic Area), tourists can go directly to the mid-mountain through a 3km hiking trail, and college students with student ID cards are also free of transportation cableway tickets.

On April 28, Wudang Mountain Scenic Area issued an announcement on the reservation of current restrictions for the 2024 "May Day" holiday, saying that during the "May Day" period, the maximum number of people in the scenic spot will be limited to 25,000 people per day, of which the group reservation will not exceed 8,000 people per day, and ticket sales will stop when the upper limit is reached.

Tickets for popular attractions are sold out

At the same time that some scenic spots prompt current restrictions, tickets for a certain period of time in some scenic spots have been sold out. On April 29, Taishan Scenic Area reminded tourists on its WeChat public account: as of April 28, the night tickets for Taishan Scenic Area in the first three days of the "May Day" holiday have been sold out and reservations have been suspended.

On April 29, Hengshan Scenic Area announced its ticket balance. As of 6 p.m. on April 28, the boarding tickets and admission tickets for the Hanging Temple attraction from May 1 to May 3 have been sold out (there is still a balance of tickets for seniors over 60 years old). On May 4th, the Hanging Temple boarding ticket has been sold out, and there are 6 remaining admission tickets (there is still a balance of tickets for seniors over 60 years old).

Huashan Scenic Area announced on April 29 that as of 10 o'clock on April 29, the number of reservations for each line in Huashan Scenic Area on May 2 has reached the upper limit, and the route into the mountain by cable on May 3 has also been saturated.

Some scenic spots have extended opening hours

Travel tips for the scenic area and its surroundings

Located in Zhejiang Province, the Shenxianju Scenic Area issued the "Announcement on the One-way Control of the Import and Export of the Baita and Shenxianju Expressway" on April 29. The announcement said that from May 1 (Wednesday) to May 5 (Sunday), 2024, during the high-traffic period from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. every day, the exit of the S26 Zhuyong Expressway Shenxianju toll station in the direction of Wenzhou will be closed.
