The pedestrian crossing passage of Polar Ocean World on Donghai East Road passes under Donghai East Road, located on the north side of the Polar Ocean World Scenic Area, with a length of about 42 meters and a width of about 5 meters, with 2 passenger elevators and 4 escalators, and the project will be put into use on April 30, 2024.
In order to alleviate the traffic pressure in the peak tourist season, the project implements off-peak construction. In November 2023, after the 11th Golden Week, the project party entered the physical construction, in order to ensure that it will be put into use before the May Day Golden Week in 2024, all parties involved in the project will set up a project department to ensure the saturation of manpower, machine and materials. The project department reverses the construction period according to the time node, decomposes the construction plan into monthly, weekly and daily, organizes the construction in strict accordance with the construction plan, formulates reward and punishment measures to motivate the construction team, and organizes decoration, elevator, and landscape restoration units to reserve materials in advance to ensure that the measures are carried out smoothly and orderly.
The project is located near the Polar Ocean World Scenic Area, the passage adopts a combination of light and dark excavation, the entrances and exits, vertical ladders and management rooms on both sides of Donghai East Road are constructed by open excavation method, and the hidden excavation method is used under the East Road section of Donghai Road. Because the project is located near the scenic spot, blasting operations cannot be used for excavation construction, and noisy equipment cannot be used for excavation. In order to ensure the smooth completion of the construction of the underground tunnel, the project department continuously optimizes the construction plan and strengthens the on-site construction organization. Soundproof cover plates are set at the mouth of the open cut section on both sides of the road, and during the excavation construction, the noise in the scenic area is regularly monitored to control the noise within a controllable range.
