According to the Straits Times, the suspect graduated from Singapore's prestigious Anglo-Chinese Independent High School, Raffles Junior College, and the Department of Economics of the National University of Singapore. According to an old classmate of his, who asked not to be named, he was a bit of a "freak" as a teenager, a little obese and often showed some insecurities.

The deceased had taken out insurance from the suspect
The suspect, Wang Changyi, has worked in a variety of industries and was once the owner or shareholder of six companies, including an insurance and wealth management company, providing remedial education support services, computer equipment trading, retail of computer equipment and office supplies, online sales of personal computer supplies, and general insurance services.
The suspect and the deceased Fang Dirou have known each other for many years.
A few days ago, the deceased's brother found two AIA investment policies at home, one for S$3,000 and the other for S$50,000, both of which were insured in August 2015. Both insurance policies were handled by the suspect Wang Changyi.
From Wang's LinkedIn records, he worked as a financial planner at Manulife from 2011 to 2013 and AIA from 2014 to 2019.
According to the "8 Vision" report, one of the suspect's former business partners revealed that he had cooperated with the suspect about ten years ago, and the suspect was "very eloquent, very good at selling things, and had a lot of business ideas, but it was very capricious", and the two finally disagreed because of their disagreement, and the suspect owed him a lot of money, so they broke up unhappily, and since then he has cut off contact with the suspect and has not been in touch for many years.

Another interviewee in The Straits Times was John, a 36-year-old expatriate who runs an IT company. At that time, Wang Changyi frequented it, and later the two worked together in business. The deceased in this case, Fang Dirou, 39 years old, is a Singaporean single woman and an architect. On April 4, he flew to Spain alone, saying that he was going to meet an old friend.
Just one day before Fang Dirou flew to Spain, on April 3, the suspect Wang Changyi found a car rental company in Spain and rented a Nissan Qashqai.
According to Spanish media reports, the deceased was last seen alive on April 9.
At around 1745 hours in the evening of the same day, surveillance video captured the suspect wearing black pants and a hoodie, driving a Nissan Qashqai car, leaving the hotel where he was staying.

About an hour later, at 2045 hours, surveillance footage of the deceased's hotel captured the deceased leaving the hotel and someone driving her away. When the deceased left the hotel, personal belongings and luggage were left in the guest room.

Less than three hours later, at 2328 hours, surveillance footage captured the same car driving from RM-422 into the parking lot of a restaurant called Los Collares.
After that, the car stopped at an apricot orchard for 18 minutes, and only turned back at 2346 hours and left the same way.

Two hours later, at around 0206 a.m., the suspect returned to the hotel where he was staying. Surveillance footage captured him wearing jeans and a blue jacket, apparently having changed his clothes.
On April 12, the deceased had planned to fly back to Singapore from Spain. The deceased's brother went to the airport to pick her up, only to find that she had not boarded the plane. My brother felt strange because she always told her family about her whereabouts when she was away from home. The younger brother then called the police.

In fact, on the morning of April 10, the body of the deceased was found in the orchard, having been brutally killed by 30 stabs. At the time, the Spanish police were unable to confirm her identity. Preliminary investigations revealed that Fong's fatal injuries were knife wounds and severe head injuries.
On 16 April, the deceased's brother and his friend flew to Spain under the arrangement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore. Clues tracked down the suspect
Police later found a pair of Farfetch limited-edition sneakers worth S$1,362 in the suspect's hotel room, with a size of 48.5 in Europe, which matched the suspect's 1.88-metre tall physique.
The shoe prints recorded in the place where the deceased's body was found clearly matched the soles of the shoes. Spanish police are testing the soil on the soles of the shoes to see if they match the soil at the scene.
At the same time, from the analysis of the mobile phone signals of the suspect and the deceased, the two had appeared at the same time in the town of Abanilla in southeastern Spain.
Police also found 3,760 euros (about S$5,474) and S$1,000 in cash in the suspect's hotel room.
