Nikon Corporation announced that five of its products have won two prestigious international awards: the 2024 Imaging Technology Press Association (TIPA) Awards and the Red Dot Award: Product Design of the Year 2024.
Among them, the 2024 Imaging Technology News Association (TIPA) Award is presented by the Imaging Technology News Association, a well-known photography and imaging industry organization. The award is voted on by the editors of internationally renowned camera and imaging magazines and is well-known in the field of imaging and photography. In this year's awards, four Nikon products won this award: the full-frame mirrorless camera Nikon Zf was named "Best Full-Frame Expert Camera", the full-frame single-frame camera Nikon Z8 was named "Best Full-Frame Professional Camera", the mid-telephoto prime lens Nikkor Z 135mmf/1.8 S Plena was awarded "Best Professional Portrait Lens", and the telephoto zoom lens Nikkor Z 180-600mmf/5.6-6.3 VR was named "Best Super Telephoto Zoom Lens".
The Red Dot Award for Product Design is awarded by the German design association DesignZentrum NordrheinWestfalen. The award is a globally renowned authoritative award in the design community based on a panel of well-known design experts from all over the world based on the aesthetics, functionality and innovation of the product. Four of Nikon's full-frame mirrorless cameras, the Nikon Zf and Z8, and the telephoto prime lenses, the Nikkor Z 600mmf/6.3 VR S and the Nikkor Z 135mmf/1.8 S Plena won the award.
