Jianshe Town is one of the earliest towns in Zigong to develop rural tourism, with rich high-quality fruit resources such as blood orange and pomelo. More than 400 acres of original ecological loquat are planted in the town, of which Gusheng Village is the main one. The loquat here is named "five-star loquat" because of the five-star shape of the umbilicus, and it is popular because of its orange color, sweet taste, thick flesh and small seeds. Xu Jie, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Jianshe Town, said: "This year's climate is suitable, and the output of loquat has increased. During May Day, the loquat will reach its best ripeness and flavor, and everyone is welcome to come to our Gusheng Village to pick and taste the joy of rural tourism.
In addition, in order to continue to promote the healthy development of the local fruit industry, Jianshe Town will use the provincial rural revitalization industry promotion demonstration project in 2022 to introduce and plant 130 acres of new varieties of "Big Five Star Loquat", purchase fruit seedlings and organic fertilizers, etc., and distribute them to farmers for planting. For more than two years, the professionals of the town's agricultural technology department have insisted on providing technical guidance to farmers, and the improved loquat will improve in terms of meat quality and taste, and it is expected to be put into production in 2025.
