At the fruit trading market in Hanxi Village, Xinshi Town, more than 20 fruit farmers sell their loquat here every day, and the fruit farmers grade and pack the carefully selected loquat for sale. Loquat with large fruit, juicy and good taste has attracted fruit merchants from Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hunan and nearby cities and counties to pick and buy.
According to Tao Shaorong, director of the agricultural service center of the new town, up to now, the planting area of loquat in the new town has reached more than 4,600 acres, and more than 4,000 acres of fruit have been produced this year, with an estimated fruit yield of 4.5 million kilograms and an output value of 27 million yuan. This year, Xinshi will sell loquat to all parts of the country through the sales model of "company + farmer", through online orders and offline field inspections.
Since 2023, the new town has built 236 5 cubic meter micro pools, increased the water storage capacity by 1,180 cubic meters, organized 20 planting and management technology trainings, improved more than 500 acres of loquat, and applied more than 50 tons of organic fertilizer, effectively improving the level of loquat planting management and promoting the quality and efficiency of the loquat industry.
