On the morning of April 16, the Standing Committee of the Tongbai County People's Congress organized the responsible comrades of the Urban Construction and Environmental Resources Committee, the Budget Working Committee, the Legal Affairs Committee, and the Letters and Visits Office of the County People's Congress and some county people's congress deputies to carry out special research on the completion of environmental protection goals and environmental conditions in Tongbai County in 2023. Tongbai Branch of Nanyang Ecological Environment Bureau, County Urban Management Bureau, County Forestry Bureau and other relevant departments and leaders in charge of relevant townships participated in the investigation.
The research team successively went to the site of the soil pollution source treatment project in Zhuzhuang Town, the county domestic waste landfill, the county's first sewage treatment plant, the tailwater constructed wetland project of the urban sewage treatment plant, the automatic air monitoring site, and the Tongbai Huaiyuan Provincial Wetland Park to learn more about the development of ecological environmental protection and pollution prevention and control through on-the-spot inspections and listening to reports. Subsequently, the research team organized a symposium at the liaison station of the National People's Congress, listened to the work reports of relevant departments, and made suggestions and suggestions on further strengthening the ecological environment protection of the county and building an ecological Huaiyuan and Damei Tongbai.
At the symposium, the Tongbai Branch made a report on the completion of the county's environmental protection goals and tasks in 2023, and the county urban management bureau, forestry bureau and other departments reported on the county's sewage treatment, garbage disposal, wetland protection and other work around the responsibilities of the department.
The research team believes that in 2023, the atmospheric environment quality of Tongbai County will rank first in the city, the annual average water quality of the national and provincial assessment sections will reach the surface water class III standard, the soil environment will be safe and stable, the rural living environment will be significantly improved, and the national ecological civilization demonstration zone will be successfully created, and the achievements are worthy of recognition. At the same time, the participants also pointed out the problems existing in environmental protection such as urban infrastructure construction and river management in urban areas based on the research situation, and gave pertinent opinions and suggestions.
In the next step, the Tongbai Branch will actively implement the work requirements of the Standing Committee of the County People's Congress and the suggestions of the People's Congress deputies, give full play to the role of the main force of ecological environmental protection, further improve the level of environmental protection management, strengthen comprehensive environmental management, ensure the full completion of various environmental protection goals and tasks, and promote the high-quality economic and social transformation and development of Tongbai County.
