The five new towns of Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian and Nanhui are all located in important regional corridors. Among them, Songjiang New Town, as the southwest gateway of Shanghai, has shown strong development momentum since the "14th Five-Year Plan". Relying on the construction of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor in the Yangtze River Delta, Songjiang has attracted a large number of high-tech enterprises and R&D institutions to settle in, the leading enterprises in the advanced manufacturing industry have gathered, and the layout of new quality productivity has been accelerated. As the source of this corridor, Songjiang has formed a complementary and mutually reinforcing industrial ecology by building an efficient cooperation platform and in-depth cooperation with cities along the route, and the total GDP of the nine cities has increased from 1/16 to 1/15 at the end of last year. At present, Songjiang New Town is speeding up the promotion of the "one city, one hub" strategy, in order to further play the node function and open up the development meridians.

At present, Shihudang station and cargo station are in full swing construction, in the future, not only the China-Laos train G60 and the China-Europe train Shanghai will depart from here, but also waterways, railways, highways and other freight modes can realize transit and intermodal transportation here. Shihudang station is expected to be completed on July 30 next year, with an initial freight volume of up to 2 million tons, and is expected to double by 2040.
Shen Qiaoying, deputy mayor of Shihudang Town, Songjiang District, said that Shihudang Town is currently actively applying for a national production and service-oriented logistics hub, which will greatly enhance the influence and radiation of the entire smart logistics hub in Songjiang, and then improve the overall economic development level of Songjiang.
Along the construction of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Lake railway all the way to the east, will arrive at the true sense of the southwest gateway Songjiang hub, after the completion of the year, the scale of the station will reach 9 sets of 23 lines, the annual forecast of passenger flow of 25 million people. If you look at the Songjiang hub from a different angle, you will also find that the service center of the Songjiang hub is connected to the rail transit line 9 and the existing Songjiang South Station. At the same time, the Shanghai-Kunming Railway, Shanghai-Hangzhou, Shanghai-Suzhou-Lake High-speed Railway, as well as the general speed facilities of Shanghai South Railway Station that will be moved into will also converge here, and in the future, starting from Songjiang, you can reach 80% of the cities in the Yangtze River Delta region.
It is not only an important node to relieve traffic pressure in the southwest, but also an "urban living room" with diversified functions and open integration in combination with surrounding facilities, forming a landmark gateway facing the Yangtze River Delta.
According to Fan Xiaofeng, director of the Songjiang District Transportation Construction Management Center, the Songjiang hub will build a landmark functional area integrating comprehensive transportation, science and technology film city, modern business, cultural tourism and modern logistics, plus the Songjiang international multimodal logistics hub under construction, which will become a city-level hub of Shanghai's world-class outstanding city in the future.
