A pharmacist from a tertiary hospital in Chengdu said that one of the main ingredients of this type of product is caffeine, and excessive consumption will cause people to experience dizziness, tachycardia and other phenomena, and even face the risk of death.
The education authorities in many places pointed out that the secondary school physical examination is an examination of students' physical ability, and is to encourage students to achieve the purpose of physical fitness through physical exercise, not a competitive competition, although doping tests are not conducted, but it is not recommended for students to take it. The reporter learned from the market supervision department that the nitrogen pump belongs to the food category from the batch number, not health food. The customer service of many merchants also said that the standards they implement are all national standard GB24154. This standard is the "National Food Safety Standard General Principles for Sports Nutrition Food" (hereinafter referred to as: GB 24154).
According to reports, sports nutrition food is a type of product that is different from "health food" and "ordinary food". In the official introduction, it is a specially processed food to meet the physiological metabolic state, exercise capacity, and special needs of certain nutrients for the exercise population (refers to people who participate in physical exercise 3 times or more a week, each time lasts 30 minutes or more, and the intensity of each exercise reaches moderate or above).

The standard also mentions that substances prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) must not be added to sports nutrition foods.

Some products exceed the caffeine standard, and pharmacists do not recommend taking them before the test

Taking the "kinetic energy plus" product as an example, the product claims to be added according to the top value of the national standard GB24154 standard, and 100g of product contains 1.2g of taurine, and according to the above standard, the maximum daily intake of taurine is 0.6g, and the relevant customer service staff recommends "take it 30 minutes before exercise, at least 1 bottle at a time, and no more than 4 bottles a day." ”
The reporter preliminarily calculated that if taken according to the amount of 4 bottles a day, the human body ingested about 2.4g of taurine, which greatly exceeded the standard.
Pu Qiuyi said that if you look at special-purpose beverages, nitrogen pumps have different "standards" in different "standards". According to the "National Food Safety Standard for the Use of Food Nutrition Enhancers" (GB14880-2012), 1kg of nitrogen pump contains up to 0.5g of taurine, and after conversion, the product adds 12g of taurine, far exceeding the national standard.
