Data research agency IDC released global smartphone shipment data for the first quarter of 2024, which showed that Q1 increased by 7.8% year-on-year to 289.4 million units.

According to the ranking, the top five smartphone shipments in the world are:

1. Samsung, 60.1 million units, 20.8%, down 0.7% year-on-year

2. Apple, 50.1 million units, 17.3%, down 9.6% year-on-year

3. Xiaomi, 40.8 million units, 14.1%, a year-on-year increase of 33.8%

4. Transsion, 28.5 million units, 9.9%, a year-on-year increase of 84.9%
