On April 16, the 2024 Xihe County Middle School Student Athletics Meeting was grandly opened at Chengnan Stadium. Zhang Yi, member of the party group and deputy director of the Longnan Education Bureau, Shang Fenglei, member of the Standing Committee of the county party committee and deputy county magistrate, and Yang Xiang, vice chairman of the county CPPCC, attended the opening ceremony, and Shang Fenglei delivered a speech.

In recent years, under the strong leadership of the county party committee and the county government, Xihe Education has fully implemented the party's education policy, vigorously promoted sunshine sports, held the county's first national games with high standards, successfully held previous middle school athletics games, and hosted sports events such as basketball and volleyball championships for middle school students in the city, which effectively promoted the all-round development of students. The sports meeting is an important carrier to comprehensively improve the ideological, cultural and physical quality of middle school students in the county, and it is also a new journey for middle school students in the county to challenge and break through themselves. In the solemn "Athletes' March", the referee team and the school teams entered the stadium with the flags of the games. At the opening ceremony, representatives of athletes and referees took the oath. With the wonderful group gymnastics performances of Xihe No. 1 Middle School, Xihe No. 2 Middle School, Hanyuan Junior High School, Experimental Primary School and other schools, the sports meeting officially kicked off. The large-scale group gymnastics performance is magnificent, highlighting the county's colorful sports undertakings and the county's people's tenacious struggle, unity and cooperation of the sports spirit, the whole performance is divided into three chapters and six programs, such as "singing the love of Hanyuan and building the Chinese dream together", "drum rhyme inspirational inspiration to inspire the future", "youth sailing to the party" and so on. It is understood that a total of 529 athletes from 30 teams will participate in the competition, which will compete in 23 competitions in the high school group and junior high school group.
