From April 11th to 14th, the 89th China International Medical Equipment (Spring) Expo (CMEF) was unveiled at the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai. Sony not only brought 4K medical products and solutions to the show, including 4K new medical monitors, 4K medical overall solutions, 4K medical surgical monitors, 3D surgical imaging systems, but also brought new medical technology - HDR, as well as spatial reality display (naked-eye 3D), to provide exhibitors with professional 4K medical imaging experience and a variety of products and solutions.
4K HDR medical new product monitor
In this exhibition, Sony brought a high-quality 4K 2D 55-inch HDR medical new liquid crystal monitor - LMD-XH550MC, this new product applies zonal dimming technology (Local Dimming) with high peak brightness, high contrast and wide color gamut, which can display high-quality 4K HDR color video images during surgery. With four times the resolution of HD, 4K imaging provides a higher level of detail, making it ideal for use in hospital operating rooms, surgical centers, and education.
The zonal dimming technology is to accurately drive and control the LED backlight of the LCD panel, and adjust the LED backlight in real time according to the scene change, so as to improve the contrast of the displayed surgical image (the contrast ratio can reach up to 1,000,000:1), and at the same time, increase the brightness of the bright area by using the power of the dark area, so as to achieve the excellent "peak brightness" of the surgical picture (peak brightness up to 1,500cd/m²), helping the surgeon to see the surgical site more clearly.

As one of the highlights of Sony's booth, Sony combined HDR technology with medical treatment for the first time in its medical products/solutions to realize 4K HDR for shooting and transmission to the full link of display, and 4K 3CMOS native module with 4K monitor faithfully restore what the human eye sees, ensuring accurate display of intraoperative images, but no exposure and no reflection, to ensure the safety of surgery.
A native 4K 1/3-inch 3CMOS sensor with a 4K 3CMOS native module for high sensitivity. Its clarity reaches 2000TVL, supports HDR, can accurately restore what the human eye sees, and has excellent color reproduction capabilities.

Spatial Reality Display (Glasses-Free 3D)
Another highlight of the booth, Sony brought glasses-free 3D display technology - spatial reality display, innovatively using eye-sensing light field display technology, through high-speed vision sensors, micro optical lenses and real-time rendering algorithms three core technologies, without wearing additional special glasses or VR peripherals, you can experience the exquisite naked-eye 3D effect of 4K resolution from multiple angles in real time. In 2024, Sony will focus on upgrading and strengthening its ecological content, which can be used not only in the medical/health field, but also in exhibitions, education, industrial design and architecture, entertainment media, and metaverse digital asset visualization.

4K Medical Operating Room Monitor
In the 4K medical operating room monitor exhibition area, three products were displayed: LMD-X3200MC, LMD-X2710MC, and LMD-X2705MC.
All three machines are 4K resolution monitors, which are not only easy to install, but also have a wide range of input interfaces, which are excellent for viewing surgical camera systems, and are ideal for modern medical environments such as operating rooms, surgical centers, clinics, and doctors' offices.

3D surgical imaging system
According to the departments that need refined surgical operations and customer needs, we have launched an innovative surgical vision solution - 3D surgical imaging system. The system consists of two 3CMOS medical HD cameras MCC-1000MD, a 55-inch 4K 3D monitor LMD-XH550TC and a video system HD 3D video recorder HVO-3300MT, which has the following characteristics:
Compared with traditional microscope surgery, the surgeon does not have to keep looking down at the eyepiece, but the upper body upright and upright view monitor for the surgical operation, the application of large screen 3D to the surgeon brings a large field of view and immersive surgical experience, increases the surgical concentration, and allows the members in the operating room to understand the surgical process in time, which is conducive to the development of teaching activities. The effect required for surgery can be achieved by adjusting the brightness of the relevant equipment, without increasing the brightness of the microscope illumination, so as to reduce the damage to the patient's eyes due to microscope irradiation.
Sony's 3D surgical imaging system can be used with most brands of microscopes on the market, and can be seamlessly connected by adding beamsplitters and other devices, making it suitable for microscope surgery in various departments.
