On the eve of the Ching Ming Festival holiday, the laboratory of Amway Plant R&D Center is about to usher in an "important test" that will be held every 6 years. In addition to annual internal audits and biennial regular reviews, this year ABRC laboratories also underwent a 6-year on-site recertification audit by a review team composed of two experienced experts specially dispatched by CNAS certification centers. After two days of thorough inspection and on-site discussions, the review was successfully passed.

What is the significance of CNAS certification, and the value can only be understood when we go back to 8 years ago......
Since the establishment of Amway Plant R&D Center, we have continuously enhanced the scientific research strength of the enterprise and strictly controlled the quality management. In order to further improve the experimental research capabilities and strengthen the international credibility of research data, our laboratory team has taken the initiative to challenge the more stringent CNAS certification system around the world. As an in-house R&D laboratory, this is an important part of our internal self-improvement.
The R&D laboratory began to establish a quality management system in February 2016, and released the "Amway (China) Plant R&D Center Co., Ltd. R&D Laboratory Quality Management System" on April 30, 2016. After nearly two years of operation, the R&D laboratory has made significant improvements in quality management and technical operation. By March 2, 2018, the R&D laboratory of Amway (China) Plant R&D Center Co., Ltd. has successfully passed the accreditation of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and obtained the National Laboratory Accreditation Certificate (Laboratory Accreditation Code L10768). At the same time, the laboratory was included in the "CNAS Approved Accreditation Institution List", which shows that the state has given high recognition to the quality management system and professional technical strength of R&D laboratories.
The R&D laboratory has established five main functional platforms: soil and plant nutrition, plant physiology, water environment, molecular biology and plant extracts. These platforms cover all aspects of agricultural technology research, from soil to finished product.
The laboratory pursues the concept of "openness and sharing", and has won the trust and recognition of many well-known domestic research institutions by virtue of its strong strength in the field of agricultural research.
What is CNAS?
China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) is a national accreditation body established in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Certification and Accreditation, approved and authorized by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA), mainly responsible for the unified accreditation of certification bodies, laboratories and inspection institutions and other related institutions.

CNAS is the Chinese mainland authoritative laboratory accreditation management body, responsible for recognizing the ISO17025 standards of laboratories across the country; In accordance with international practice, the data provided by all laboratories accredited by ISO17025 standards is legally valid and internationally recognized.
2. It is not easy for laboratories in China's nutraceutical industry to pass the CNAS audit, the audit time is long, and it is difficult to pass and the quality requirements are also very high. There are very few testing laboratories that can be accredited by CNAS, and even fewer R&D laboratories of enterprises have been accredited.
The importance of CNAS certification
1. The laboratory has the technical ability to carry out testing and calibration services in accordance with relevant accredited standards, and the test results of the laboratory are reliable and authoritative.
2. It has greatly improved the competitiveness of the laboratory in the industry, and won the trust of government departments and all walks of life.
3. The national laboratory accreditation mark and the ILAC international mutual recognition joint mark can be used within the scope of accreditation. The test results will be recognized in more than 80 countries and regions around the world, as well as more than 90 international institutions, that is, the "International Pass" will be obtained, which will be more widely recognized.
4. Being included in the national laboratory accreditation list can enhance the visibility of the laboratory, become a model in the industry, and help enhance the confidence of consumers and the commercial market.
The successful passage of this review means that the ABRC laboratory has completed the re-audit of the certificate and will be able to continue to maintain the CNAS certification for the next six years.
In the past six years, the laboratory has been able to continuously comply with and meet the requirements of CNAS's quality management system and various assessments, demonstrating its stable and continuous quality assurance capabilities; Through regular surveillance and re-evaluation, its technical strength and service level have also been continuously verified and recognized, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory testing and calibration results.
