Build the core main scientific research force

Focusing on the main direction of marine environmental perception, the East China Sea Laboratory has made every effort to attract top talents in the field of marine environmental perception from "device-equipment-system" to the underlying data algorithm, and has set up 11 research teams such as marine robots, optical perception equipment, sea and air electromagnetic sensing equipment, and underwater sound perception equipment, with the number of scientific research personnel exceeding 100 and more than 10% of high-level talents at or above the provincial level.

Donghai Laboratory has built a scientific research mechanism of "three zones and two systems" driven by major special projects, realizing the organic unity of "bounded scientific exploration, organized scientific research, and scenario-based application transformation", which effectively guarantees the smooth development of various scientific research projects. Donghai Laboratory has undertaken nearly 30 national and provincial scientific research projects. In the past two years, Donghai Laboratory has undertaken nearly 30 national and provincial scientific research projects, including a number of national key projects such as the key project of micro-nano electronic technology and the key project of "large underwater unmanned vehicle", and at the same time undertook 11 major special tasks of "leading geese + X" in Zhejiang Province. He has published more than 100 academic papers in Nature and applied for more than 50 invention patents. The research results have won the gold and silver medals of the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, the first prize of invention and innovation of the China Association of Inventions, the second prize of the China Industry-University-Research Innovation Achievement Award, the second prize of the Natural Resources Science and Technology Award, etc., issued 2 national standards, and realized the transformation of 5 scientific and technological achievements.

The marine remote sensing detection team of the East China Sea Laboratory has developed the world's first terrestrial source strongly absorbing aerosol atmospheric correction algorithm considering the change of aerosol vertical structure, which effectively solves the problem of data processing of coastal sea color satellites, and the research results have been published in Remote Sensing of Environment, the top journal with the highest influence in the field of remote sensing. This achievement has been applied to the operational processing system of the new generation of marine water color satellite data in China.

The sea-air electromagnetic sensing equipment team of Donghai Laboratory has developed an X-band 4-channel 8-beam analog phase-shift synthesis receiving chip with international leading level, which can be used in distributed sensing networks to realize real-time synchronous recovery of perception information of up to 8 sets of equipment, which is the most integrated chip of its kind. Recently, the team has further successfully developed a 16-element 4-beam phased array with the minimum number of chips, and built an application demonstration system in distributed sensing networks.

The underwater acoustic perception equipment team has developed the internationally advanced ultra-light and small underwater low-frequency detection sound array, which is expected to take the lead in breaking through the problems of underwater low-frequency sound scattering and adaptive correction of sensor consistency, making it possible for small underwater vehicles to be equipped with low-frequency detection sonar.

The marine electromechanical control team has developed the intelligent processing and testing and analysis technology and equipment of shipborne pressure-holding cores, benchmarked the most advanced shipborne core testing system in the world, overcame the low-disturbance transfer cutting and testing and analysis technology of deep-sea in-situ long columnar core in low-temperature and high-pressure environment, solved the "stuck neck" technical problem of rapid testing and analysis of shipborne cores for marine scientific research, and filled the domestic gap.

The East China Sea Laboratory focuses on three innovative measures to improve the effectiveness of "introduction, education, and stability":

▌ In the "introduction" of talents

Vigorously introduce outstanding young talents at home and abroad, in addition to providing competitive remuneration in the industry, and at the same time, under the guidance of provincial and municipal talent and science and technology departments, the implementation of young talent declaration, independent identification of professional titles, talent establishment management, performance rewards and other supporting policies.

▌ In the "education" of talents

Arrange national-level talents as team leaders to implement the "1+1" mentoring project, that is, the team PI+ team backbone researchers jointly help the development of young talents, formulate personalized training programs for young talents, and fully guide and assist them to strive for national, provincial and municipal youth talent plans.
