In order to further enrich the spiritual and cultural life of residents in the jurisdiction, enhance their awareness of health care, and convey the concept of healthy life, on April 7, Nankeng Street Social Work Station, together with Nankeng Street New Era Civilization Practice Institute and Zhiyu Xiaolao Group, carried out a mugwort health hammer DIY activity in the practice.
At the beginning of the activity, the volunteers first introduced to everyone: "Nankeng Street Social Work Station is a public welfare organization that is committed to providing comprehensive social services for community residents through professional social work practice. Then, entering the theme of the day's activities, the volunteers introduced the production method of wormwood health hammer to everyone in detail, and the residents listened attentively to the key points of production and silently remembered them, put the medicine bag, pinched the balls, wrapped cotton cloth, and wound cotton thread...... Every step is serious and rigorous, in the production process, the residents either help each other, or ridicule each other, in the conversation and laughter gradually master the production skills, one by one mugwort fragrant health hammer was also successfully born.
At the end of the event, volunteers guided and demonstrated to the residents how to use the health hammer to hit the "Eight Voids" acupuncture points, so as to play a role in regulating qi and blood and dredging the meridians. The residents were full of interest and raised their health hammers to follow suit, happily saying that they had learned the same practical health knowledge while patting it.
This activity not only exercised the residents' hands-on ability, but also narrowed the distance between neighbors and popularized health knowledge. In the next step, the Nankeng Street Social Work Station will continue to deepen the important role of social work in grassroots governance, continue to pay attention to the needs of residents, gather the service forces of the neighbors in the jurisdiction, and organize various beneficial and interesting volunteer service activities for residents with heart and affection, so as to create a better life together.
