At present, Tencent Games' health system provides real-name services for documents such as the People's Republic of China Resident Identity Card, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, Overseas Chinese Passport, Foreigner Permanent Residence ID Card (including Five-Star Card), Overseas Passport, etc., and no matter what kind of document is a minor, it will be restricted by the anti-addiction system.
On December 1, 2023, the new version of the permanent residence ID card for foreigners of the People's Republic of China was officially issued and put into use. Due to the addition of the five-star element that reflects China's national identity, the new version of the permanent residence permit is called the "five-star card".
The five-star card has a unified unique number that remains unchanged for life, can be applied to the machine reading of identity documents, and can be authenticated online through the official platform, and its regular use is almost the same as that of the Chinese national ID card. According to the relevant person in charge of the National Immigration Administration, the five-star card can provide more convenience for holders in the fields of public services and government services such as transportation, living consumption, financial communications, and Internet platforms.
However, after the issuance of the five-star card, users have reported that due to the failure of the certificate to use for real-name authentication in the game, they can only look forward to the "game" and sigh.
In January this year, Tencent's growth guardian team adapted the use of five-star cards in Tencent Games' real-name authentication port for the first time from a technical level, and invited the first batch of five-star card users to participate in the internal testing of mobile game authentication, successfully completing the real-name authentication process.
